As poor as Senegal is, they have an electric train service that has been running uninterruptedly for over a decade now.

Nigerians need to travel... No need going to US, UK, China and the other overly developed countries... Just visit some African countries first, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, and South Africa... You'll see that we're still lagging when it comes to infrastructure.

We can do even more, but the problem is sustainability, especially the aspect of maintenance. At times it becomes a ruse, born out of politics an graft. For instance, they could build this on epileptic power or buy, refurbish faulty coaches, take the praises like it's being celebrated but it will last for a short while.

The truth is simply that metro just kicked off in Nigeria. What happened to the BRT buses initiated under Tinubu? Where in the world, except India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan do you find such rickety buses. BRT buses started off like this, very clean, well organized and everyone wanted to be passengers ontheir routes. What has happened today? Mostly eyesores, the buses.

The fact here is that Nigeria and Nigerians must be who they are. It is just a matter of time and you will see how the trains would be completely muddled up. In a little while, servicing will be a big issue. Cleaners will become lords and bosses and very rude to passengers. So even if New York metro is not is clean as this presently, it is more durable and reliable. It has been working for ages non stop.

By the way, when it comes to infrastructures, with all our resources, we lag behind most nations who had indepence either a little before us, at the same time or a little after. Let's simply admit that we have leadership and deep corruption issues to contend with.

See, No governor builds a metro alone because it is a big project.( l mean long term investment) .

Tinubu laid the foundation, others followed the blueprint, that is why lagos metro exists today.

Tinubu's existence as an overbearing godfather was the only reason Fashola didnt complete the Lagos metro under 4-8years.

Fashola trying to pull away from Tinubu's endless lootocratic demands almost cost him his second term ticket in 2011.

Similarly, Ambode would have also completed the metro system, but for Tinubu's stifling godfatherism and lootocratic demands. After being choked for 4 years, Ambode just like Fashola, also attempted to free Lagos from the 'Tinubu impediment'. That action cost Ambode his second term.

Sanwo Olu after seeing the ordeal of his predecessors, has since chosen to be an utter spineless puppet to preserve his sanity.

Any person old enough to have witnessed Tinubu's governorship, knows Tinubu was indeed the worst and most useless governor Lagos ever had, with absolutely no tangible achievement in his 8 years. Even military administrators like Buba Marwa had tangible legacies in Lagos than Tinubu.

The only thing Tinubu has in his CV is godfatherism. There's definitely no bizarrity that can't be birthed by sycophancy cos I never believed a day would come when GODFATHERISM would be touted as an achievement.

Egypt has been using metro since 1987 and that is the most extensive of all metro in Africa. Abuja metro is even unannounced and rarely hype.

U guys are using Lagos ibadan express media to hype eveything as if there is no metro in Abuja and Kaduna.

They've never been to an airport. Not even for local flight. It's just an inherent need to always hate on everything positive especially from their own country.

A lady brought out some snacks to eat. The security guy attached to the coach immediately told her eating is not allowed. That's the way to go
