Nawa oh! What happened to Enugu? The state is not even on the top 10 list! Meanwhile, what's the update on the drama between the Enugu State government and Sujimoto? |

Don't know how this data is gotten as reality and authentic data still shows that Yoruba continue to lead in education. |

Ezeama400:https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/just-in-neco-releases-2025-ssce-results-records-60-pass-rate/%3famp While providing a breakdown of performance by states, he noted that Kano came top with 68,159, representing 5.020 per cent of candidates scoring five credits and above, including English and mathematics. Lagos came second in performance with 67,007 or 4.930 per cent of candidates, scoring five credits and above, including English and mathematics, while Oyo came third with 48,742 candidates scoring five credits and above, including English and mathematics. The least performing centre was Gabon, with no candidate scoring five credits and above, including English and mathematics. The Examination Council recently announced the transition from the Paper-Pencil Test model, known as the PPT model to Computer-Based Test Model, with a number of private and public schools taking part in the first phase of the transition. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/just-in-neco-releases-2025-ssce-results-records-60-pass-rate/%3famp |

igwebuike01:The number of students that passed in Lagos,Oyo are way above the students that passed in Anambra,Abia,Ebonyi. By sheer number, all the SE states are no match for any state in the SW. |

Ezeama400:This generation sef....shey in the original post here on Nairaland I had stated clearly that Kano did not come first in the NECO as wrongly perceived. To think some people were threatening to report us to international bodies because they themselves cannot do simple English comprehension and small logic AndroBlaze:https://www.nairaland.com/8521760/kano-tops-2025-neco-results/1#136867423 |

Putinofrussia:The numbers is a kind of informal census. It shows the population of states relative to each other in a way. It may not be totally accurate though |

Ezeama400:You are the one that should be ashamed of your lies instead of your thief arresting the owner. NECO has done their percentages and how they determine their own percentages. In the original percentages from NECO, even Fullani (Kano) performed better than all south eastern states. Yorubas still dominated overall. As Lagos and Oyo followed bumber to number. However, if you want to do your own computation that is reliable and not fake. Show us NECO authentic broadlist and tell us how you computed your own percentages. You want to use the thread for empty chestbeating as usual, but unfortunately; it back fired as there are many more media that carried the news |

Ezeama400:When I see posts like this, I feel sad. Some of you do not know that states were created in Nigeria because of Ndigbo. The Igbo are one nation, and only those who do not understand the conspiracy fuel the fire of division among us. Do you think it was a coincidence that Igbos top in academics? Focusing on states negates the fact that there are millions of Igbos in the Middle Belt and South of Nigeria who have been mixed together with non-Igbos. We should do better as Ndigbo. The reason why they split Igbo land into thirteen states is just to have Igbos place states above the Igbo nation. That's why all sensible Igbos believe in a future Igbo country, like we had it before the British mixed us with people we have little in common with, whose primary pastime seems to be dragging us back. Here is a map of the Igbo country before the whiteman placed us here. Are you even aware that the largest Igbo cities before Igbo lost our independence were Aboh in today's Delta State and Arochuku in today's Abia?

The only thing that will prove to the whole world who is who in Nigeria and who is taking advantage of others and who is dragging others backward is total division of Nigeria, possibly using the 6 geopolitical zones as template and with a referendum for communities wrongly placed in another geopolitical zone away from people they share same/similar culture and heritage with to decide which geopolitical zones they want to belong to. In the absence of this, complete federalism can also be tried but first making sure all geopolitical zones have equal number of states. And it must be complete restructuring whereby every region controls their Police, resources and regional election. Third suggestion is for Nigeria to emulate South Africa by having three or four active capital cities: Abuja Oyo state Enugu state Benue or Plateau state President/Vice operate from Abuja Senate President & Deputy operate from Enugu Chief Justice of Nigeria & Supreme Court Judges operate from Oyo state Chief of Defense Staff and other Military Chiefs operate from Benue or Plateau |

Putinofrussia:Yoruba is rated lower than Igbo in performance by the federal government. That is why Igbo have to make higher cutoff mark in common entrance exams and jamb to qualify for the same opportunities. Please don't argue blindly, use Google to check cutoff mark per state by ministry of education. Igbos are the best so the are subjected to higher standards. |

Many results are from miracle centers. I hope the CBT will commence next year for WAEC and NECO as promised. Until then, I keep my fingers crossed. ogolemati:You have a problem. I'm actually referring to all O'level results in Nigeria. Many of them are from miracle centers. It is a menace that cuts across every state in the country and it is really affecting our educational system. I'm way above all these your tribalistic banters; I don't do it kid. |

igwebuike01:When it come to sheer volume numbers is the best and Yoruba have always have the highest numbers of students that passed WAEC and NECO every year. The numbers of students that passed in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo alone is more than the entire East and it has been consistent like that for years. Keep Wonking percentage lol |
