I will like to convert my car to CNG.

Please if you have convert your car, how cost efficient is it? Does it worth it? And does it burn quick than petrol? How many kilometers can the kit cover when filled up?

I'm also asking for a friend driving commercial car that will like to change.

As a matter fact, your periodic servicing will be elongated due to the fact that it is very clean unlike PMS.

First off, CNG is not measured by kg. Here are some technical information so you can understand more.

CNG:

@230/L

15scm = N3,450 Naira = average of 160km travel.


LPG/cooking Gas:

@ N1,000/kg

15kg = N15,000 = avg of 168KM travel.


Petrol:

@600/L or so...

21litres = #12,957 = 168Km travel

I think this will also help Nigerians in the cost savings For the same distance covered (i.e 168km).

When compare prices of Petrol - LPG - CNG:

N12,957 : N15,000 : N3,450 respectively.

The standard tank that you see in the boot of different cars is 16scm..

And that will take you for say 110km..

So 230x16=?

Although some Hilux and mini pick up trucks do carry two tanks.

These tanks are quite very heavy .


In the morning ,You always start your car with fuel , and drive for say 3km ,before you switch to gas....

Converting to a CNG is not recommendable, its a capital NO, once used a factory fitted CNG vehicle before and never chose the option again.

Not after sales retrofitting

All you people converting engines primarily designed specifically for PMS to CNG.
