According to the NUC website which can be accessed seamlessly by any interested researcher,there is now a shift and a takeover by the Northerners as the Igbos are pushed off the sidewalk of Professorship into the 3rd position in the rank of who has the higher number of Professors between the two educational gladiators.

SW still continues to be the stallion and champion of Education in Nigeria as the number of their Professors is almost triple that of the Igbos according to the Directory of full Professors in Nigerian Universities.
Kudos to the gallant Igbos just as the Northerners are also heralded into the second position of Professorial hierarchy in Nigeria.

I schooled in Kogi State, Kaduna and lastly Lagos. In each of these schools and my departments in particular, there's none that a South eastern students did not be on top. I don't know why you people took assumptions as criteria all because you feel South West should be top.

After using miracle centers to get ssce results, my people from the SE find it difficult to go further in their academic pursuits as there no miracle centers in the higher institutions.

The number of candidates that took the exam in Kano and Lagos state is more than the total candidates in the entire south east.

That is why the number is higher in Kano, Lagos and oyo state while the percentage is higher in the SE .

here we are talking about the pass ratio not number that sat for the exam. Not everyone that sat for the exam in lagos is from lagos

South East having high score....is has a result of cheating....

After ssce, most of the candidates in the SW go into menial jobs like tailor, plumbing, carpentry, mason etc while the women go into agbo selling because of poverty and inability to make it to to higher institutions due to poor results .

Until @jojofalani on youtube interviews or question them in that region, that's when you will know the graduates they are producing. We all know the East is now the headquarters of runs in Nigeria, It used to be the North.

You don't measure success rate in numbers but in percentage.

You only use numbers if the total for all comparing states is the same, which is never the same.

Southwest and Northern states will always have higher number of students or candidates compared to other Southern states... So, to assess passing rate, you do a relative check of those passing based on each state's total candidates.

The state with a higher percentage of successful candidates relative to total candidates comes on top.


Example:

If Lagos has 12,000 candidates, with only 4,000 successful... While Delta has 6000 candidates, with 3000 successful.

This means Delta tops Lagos based on performance per total candidates.

This is basic mathematics...!

How many people -participated in Imo-During the Examinations,considering the small Population,of the State?
Can we compare that with the Lagos or Southwest Large Numbers of Students Population?

Neither sheer numbers nor percentages are inherently better.
Their effectiveness depends on the context and what you are trying to communicate. Sheer numbers are better for showing absolute quantities and creating accountability, while percentages are better for comparing different sized groups, understanding relative change, and providing standardized comparisons.
In this case sheer number wins because it shows that one has more students than the other and also had more students who did better than the state with a lower student population.

Abia state as 9000+ who passed Math n English
Lagos state as over 65,000 who passed both as well.

So East can brag about being tops but Yoruba produce over times 10 of the same graduates.

Smh...so you have forgotten that the Igbos occupied the top positions during the pre-colonial era, matching the educational level of the Yorubas. So calm down.

SE always come out best. It didn't start today.
From your analysis, all things being equal, south west will produce a total of 14 credits out of 20 while south east will produce a total of 15 credits out of 20. So rest....

The population of south west is reasonably higher just because of lagos and we all know why...
