Well narrated. Would have been possible if not for the bad economy. There is limitation to lucrative and genuine investments presently in Nigeria. Any business ventures currently is about 80% risk, the only sure and guarantee investment is government bonds and mutual wealth, and these don't yield interest more than 20% per annum regardless of the prevailing inflation.. It's crazy to invest in Nigeria, even those making the easy money hardly invest in any business in Nigeria. They rather buy houses abroad and use for Short let for tourists etc..... To be sincere. No business will turn 2m to 10m in one year except you are speculating in the stock or crypto market and it depends on your trading skills.

What I recommended are areas you can quickly make good one. If the person isn't good with studying like you asked, then, second or third grade in value skill will be what the person can acquire.

I can't think of the following:
1. Gardening: learn vegetable production (tomato, pepper, habanero, cucumber, etc).
2. Any skill that one can make money with.

The disadvantage here is learning from Nigerians who will take advantage of the fellow. It is why I recommended self study skills. But if the fellow can find a very honest person who can teach him/her cucumber first, and then tomato or pepper production after, it is very possible to breakthrough within 1 year. N500k is enough sef. The person should just keep N1.5m, and not touch it immediately.

But to find a very honest person is the main wahala. Dem go just use his/her N2m do "testing testing" here and there.

Recommendation
I strong believe that N2m is nothing much, but can do something one has mastered so as to know how to manage the scarce resources the cash can get. This is the reason I feel skill acquiring is the best. Even one is going into physical commodities trading, the fellow should learn it very well before embarking on the journey. If you can legally export 200 painter container for just

Sell for $100 x 200 = 20000$ ( this is #30M)

Minus cargo shipping of about $1000 (#1.5M)
