Jamiuokolaa:The excuse is insane. Must we use Maguire and Shaw every game? If both players are deemed not performing and the manager continues to use them, then should not we blame the manager for not playing to strength or start benching them? Not like we have only two defenders in the team. I don’t know why every team in the EPL seems to have a better starting 11 vs Utd, after the heavy spending over the last 3-4 years. Are we saying that if we swap our players for Brentford and Sunderland’s, we will start beating small teams? Nah! Amorim is clearly the problem. |

akwesenana:With hind sight Gareth Southgate would not have Manchester United lingering around 15th position in the league. Gareth Southgate would not play his footballers out of position. Gareth Southgate would find a way for his team to win points on the log . In conclusion Southgate would certainly make a better coach and man manager than Ruben Amorim. So Dan Ashworth is vindicated. |

nitrogen:Is current Shaw better than Heaven at LCB or Maguire better than Yoro. Yes Heaven is still young, but he played that position comfortably last season. Plus why bench Lammens? I think Amorim is intentionally doing enough to get himself sacked now instead of November so he can collect the full £12m compensation... |

nitrogen:Where is all this garnacho is lazy talk coming from. Una like agenda oh. Name 3 games garna has played and he hasn't had up to 3 shots on goal. Or 3 crosses. Hate him or not .he has been out best winger in the past 2 years. 2 goals in. 2 finals. Without him we won't even win the fa cup. This was how y'all did Greenwood..and now there's ass licking of ohhh we miss Greenwood |

Our season is ended already.. So there's no point sacking the manager at this point. No one can save this season. Let him stay till the end of the season and look for a new manager then. Same thing we should have done with Tenhag or ruud |

Mrviktor:If he stays the season there is a serious threat of relegation. |

I hear he's been asked by the bosses to change the formation. |

TrebleChamp:Lol..... ![]() Let's get past the obstacle that is the Almighty SUNDERLAND at Old Trafford at the weekend first. But I trust Amorim to mess everything up,thrust players into their weakest positions, remove his central defenders and generally F-- up the whole formation so that United are going to be probably be hanging on by the skin of our teeth by full time. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ellexy: 8:16pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
TrebleChamp:If that man oversees those fixtures, it's guaranteed he'll have us sitting comfortably in relegation zone. I really don't know whey they haven't sacked him yet, maybe they're waiting for his one year anniversary so they won't have to pay a large sum when he gets sacked. By far the worst one year period of Manchester United since World War 1. |

TrebleChamp:Haha Did they re-jig the fixtures again to make them more difficult ? I thought our 1st 10 games were the tricky ones. Lool Nawa o |

Caveatemptor:It seems SJR was ready to part ways with Ten Hag immediately after the FA Cup win, but Dan Ashworth stepped in and advised against it, recommending he stay on. However, once Ten Hag’s struggles resumed and a managerial change became inevitable, Ashworth was likely the last person SJR was inclined to take advice from....understandably so, given the earlier disagreement. As for Amorim, serious questions need to be asked of whoever scouted and interviewed him. I came across a stat suggesting that Reuben Amorim has made CB/CB substitutions in roughly 92% of his matches as Manchester United manager...even in situations where the team was trailing. Never really followed Sporting Lisbon per say but i am not sure he only started making such subs at UTD. It’s hard to believe that the tactical limitations and stylistic rigidity we’re seeing now weren’t evident during a shortlisting process that made Liverpool reject him wholeheartedly and settle for Slot instead ![]() https://www.espn.com.au/football/story/_/id/40048711/why-ruben-amorim-lost-liverpool-job-arne-slot |

Onkoolos:I did a mistake saying this. This amorim have no direction... His last 3 matches make me confirmed this man doesn't know what he is doing at all, dem need to kpai the werey before he finish what left of man u. You are using amad in wrong position, fernades in wrong position, mbuemo in wrong position. How do you want players to adapt to your system.. are u crazy??.. when you make sub you use zirkzee in left wing also. wrong position, a strikerooo!!! This one no be coachoo!! You know you have a weak midfield why cant you put more legs in the midfield position instead of using two midfielders believing in stupid magic... Finidulo George better pass this our coach.. infact let me just be coach for 1 month, man u will not lose a single point.. The funniest thing is that, this amorim doesn't understand is formation.. may be he no learn work finish. We know we have useless players like dorgu, dalot and many more but the coach no sabii anything.. There are times pep tweak is formation if it is not working... |

I remember Afrodoc talking about winners and losers when Amorim takes charge and I’m wondering…has any player here been a winner so far? In Madrid, Arda Guler is a current beneficiary of Alonso changing the system and Rodrigo is pretty much on the losing side. Which player can we describe as a winner under Amorim? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 6:24am On Sep 30, 2025 |
DeadPresidents:When i made that statement i also stated that most of those winners are still in the academy and it might be too soon for them. Most of the people i said would lose out have lost out. I also said even though the "winners" might stylistically be a good fit, they might not have the required quality. I think a player like Sam Mather (as a Left 10) fits into this category. The others that i mentioned; Amass, Kamason, Williams, Kukonki, Mantato are probably not ready yet in terms of physicality. Amass has started doing well on loan. Williams is doing okay on loan in the SPL. Kukonki is still playing Under-18 as a 17yr old. Williams and Mantato are doing okay in Under-21. Gore and Lacey are the last 2. Gore could have been ready, but his career has been totally derailed by injuries. Lacey will most likely make a debut sometime this season but a combination of horrendous injuries over the past 18 months and his small size means his minutes are being managed very carefully. A player like Fredricson would have been offloaded if not for him being a good fit as a wide CB. Even Ayden Heaven would most likely not have been signed if not for him being a perfect fit for LCB. They would not have been considered if we were still playing 2 CBs. Arda Guler is 20yrs old and an incredible talent. The closest we have is Lacey who is 2 years younger and probably not as good. We should stop minimizing some of the incredible talents out there. That is how, last season, people were asking the manager to just field players from the academy because Lamine Yamal was doing it. Lamine Yamal na your mate? |
