Many people may not subscribe to being nice and kind, but it is a good thing. The big mistake many people make is being nice and kind to the wrong persons or people.
What reward or blessing will you have spending millions on a girlfriend you won't marry, instead of using same millions to buy food for orphans, widows, the poor e.t.c

Be nice and kind to:
(1) Widows and orphans.
(2) The helpless.
(3) The sick.
(4) The refugees.
(5) The poor.
(6) The homeless.

1. Those widows need to get themselves jobs, unless they're elderly and same goes for the orphans, unless they're still minors.

2. We all get helpless every once in a while, but still find a way to help ourselves out of the helplessness.

3. Many of us are battling underlying sicknesses and everyday it's an unending battle, that alone can take a toll on someone's mental health.

4. Those refugees also need to find themselves employment.

5. What poor people need is working skills and job creations, not kindness.

6. Be nice and kind to a homeless person and see him or her snatching your phone and wallet in return... Many of those people have got homes to go to, but chose the streets... Only few are stranded.

In short, you don't owe anyone anything, but if you are to help, make sure to do it out of your own freewill and not because you feel obliged to do it.

A homeless person once approached me and told me how he was hungry, luckily I had a loaf of bread and 1L apple juice in my possession, so I gave them to him, tell me why I saw the same guy later that day standing by the road side selling the same bread and juice that I gave him?

I stopped the car to have a talk with him and this guy immediately ran as if his life depended on it upon noticing me... And some of them can be very rude if they ask you something and you don't provide it.
