I'd rather follow Jesus than the Devil who's a loser. I'd rather stick with whats certain than the devil who's deceptive and manipulative. We live in a world ruled by distractions of all kinds. Take religion for example. Every religion thinks that theirs is the way to God. Islam Buddhism Taoism Hinduism etc. To name a few. Christianity contrary to what many think isn't a religion. True we have the Catholics and certain denominations who make Christianity seem a religion but true Christianity isn't a religion. True Christianity is a lifestyle of Jesus Christ. I'd rather stick with Jesus because at the end of the day everything Will fail. Only the real and true will remain. |

AngelahFlo:Why do people love lies like this? Well Christianity is a religion Satan used tricks to introduce different religions and changed their titles to Christians so that honest hearted and sincere people won't find it easy to IDENTIFY the only true religion. Today countless religions with different mode of worship, contradicting teachings and conflicting doctrines are all claiming Christians false prophets now disguised as ministers of Christ {2Corinthians 11:14} but if you want to know the true Christians all you need to do is read what Jesus laid down for his disciples on how to go about the assignment he gave them @ Matthew 10 and observe the religion whose members are practicing it exactly. Jesus said these false prophets will do so many things to deceive people {Matthew 24:11} but it's by their fruits (activities of their followers) that will help you to know where they belong! Matthew 7:16-18 Remember the group title "CHRISTIANS" was mentioned not because disciples of Jesus were claiming it but it's their activities observed by onlookers that made them call Jesus' disciples by that name so to identify Jesus' true followers all you need to do is read your Bible to know how they operated back in the first century then look around you. There are many trees in the forest their appearance may lead to arguments but just wait until this trees produce its fruit then no argument after seeing the fruit of each tree (religion) but sad to say that even after Jesus used this simple illustration Satan still blind people to argue aimlessly! 2Corinthians 4:4 |

MaxInDHouse:What does the highlighted and bolded say about Christianity in your own words? Christianity is a lifestyle. A lifestyle of living a Christ-like life. The sooner you grasp this truth it becomes easy. There's a form of Christianity being practiced in the world and touted as religion. This is what makes the concept of true Christianity deviate from what it really is. I rest my case. |

AngelahFlo:Jesus gave his disciples an assignment it's only those earnestly doing it that are Christians it's not about a way of life because everyone has a way of life that you have nothing to judge when they do their best but it's only the assignment Jesus gave his disciples that makes the difference because whoever is not engaged in that activity will not be saved! |

AngelahFlo:Why the argument Two of you are saying the same thing in different formats If an unbeliver sees your behaviour and ask which religion you doing? What will be your response Don't forget other religions have good deed too |
| Re: I'd Rather Follow Jesus Than The Devil. by MaxInDHouse(m): 11:40pm On Sep 25, 2025 |
Zocalite:We aren't saying the same thing o! First of all Christianity is a religion just like many others and good deeds doesn't make a person Christian it's a matter of doing the work Jesus assigned his disciples so someone could be a Muslim, Buddhist, Traditionalist, Judaist, Hindu even Freethinker or Atheist and still have good deeds but it's the work Jesus gave his disciples that makes them his disciples not good deeds. Therefore it's only the group doing that job that are Christians not just people with good deeds! |

MaxInDHouse:This man you be marketer of jw You argue with Christians cos they are not from the sect of jw, you argue with non Christian, even if a non Christian becomes Christian of non jw sect, you argue with him But jw aren't Christians, they are just like Catholic, 7day, mormon etc |
| Re: I'd Rather Follow Jesus Than The Devil. by MaxInDHouse(m): 11:09am On Sep 26, 2025 |
Zocalite:One thing you failed to know is that i hate arguments i only present the truth as found in God's word so if you are for the truth present the religion that's PRACTICING what Jesus taught his disciples instead of claiming someone is arguing with those you can't vouch for their religion yet you call them "Christians" |
| Re: I'd Rather Follow Jesus Than The Devil. by Truthseeker10: 2:08pm On Sep 26, 2025 |
Zocalite:Can you mention those that are Christians? |
| Re: I'd Rather Follow Jesus Than The Devil. by AngelahFlo(op): 6:44pm On Sep 27, 2025 |
Truthseeker10:A religion follows a set of rules and rituals that must be adhered to. Christianity- True Christianity- is a lifestyle not just a religion as some Christian denominations have made it out to be. True Christians don't depend on a set of rules and rituals but on the words and principles of Christ Jesus |
| Re: I'd Rather Follow Jesus Than The Devil. by AngelahFlo(op): 6:48pm On Sep 27, 2025 |
Zocalite:You have a point. I won't point out to an unbeliever to follow a religion but I'll point him or her to the cross. When we witness to the lost. We witness the saving grace of Jesus. We witness the need of the unbeliever to confess their sins. We emphasize their fallen nature and their need of a savior in order to get back to God. |

Truthseeker10:Who is a Christian to you?@Truthseeker You should know since your moniker defines you as a seeker of truth. Which begs the question what truth do you seek and what is Truth to you |
| Re: I'd Rather Follow Jesus Than The Devil. by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:05pm On Sep 27, 2025 |
AngelahFlo:There is over 41,000 different religions with contradicting teachings and conflicting doctrines all claiming believers in that same thing you call "CROSS" If you can't point to the original among them it simply means you don't know the truth, when Jesus walked the earth there were several sects all claiming worshipers of the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses Jesus condemned all of them and presented his own group as the one and only true religion! Matthew 12:46-50 |
| Re: I'd Rather Follow Jesus Than The Devil. by AngelahFlo(op): 7:39pm On Sep 27, 2025 |
MaxInDHouse:Won't argue what's a basic truth with you. To do that is to subject myself to a Hamster Ferris Wheel. Trading words back and forth without achieving anything. Jesus said He is the Way the Truth and The Life. All the other religion point to something as their way to freedom. True Christianity points to Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross. This isn't even an arguable fact John 3 explains it all and 2nd Corinthians 5:17-21 cements it. |

AngelahFlo:Continue deceiving yourself! Satan uses the same tactic all the time. In the days of Moses all the religions in the world believe they are all worshiping the Creator but only the Israelites were right. In the first century all the religions in Israel believe they are worshiping the God of Moses but only Jesus' disciples were right. In our time countless religions claim they are believers in Christ but only Jehovah's Witnesses are right. It's as simple as that! |

MaxInDHouse:Preacher you want me to enter you abi? You won't make and you even can't. You had better hold fast to what is true before the scales fall from your eyes. I don't have the time to hold a debate with you. I'm gonna tell you this straight in all honesty. You love to argue passionately about things you presume you know. That's your fault. I just hope you don't realize it too late. Anyways you can't change my mind on my belief so don't try cos even if you use the language you used in the above post, you still won't make me doubt what my bible tells me. You say your Organization of believers the JWs are right and all others are wrong aiight. Again I'm gonna repeat what I said earlier. We'll soon know who was right and who was wrong when that day comes. |

Christianity is possession and living the life that is found in Christ. This life is given by the Father through the Spirit |

AngelahFlo:It's not difficult to confirm if you don't believe in one organized people as the one and only group doing God's will that is evidence you and i aren't worshiping the same God because my own God has His unique worshipers who all have the same line of thought! MaxInDHouse:Stop referencing scripture out of context to back up what's faulty. The people Jesus was praying for in John 17 was his disciples and they're not a separate group of people as you rightly claim. You just love to argue and the funny thing is your arguments are devoid of wisdom. They're programmed to incite dissent instead of constructive views which are presented to make someone learn. You should just stop. It's not helping you. In your own word: Who is a disciple? The one who walk in the footsteps of Jesus or a select band of guys who hold to their views and elevate themselves above others? |

AngelahFlo:So Jesus is talking about different sects with contradicting teachings, conflicting doctrines and criticism among themselves shey? Ọmọ i've told you the truth Jesus' friends are just one group that any interested person needs to IDENTIFY not just sects contradicting themselves! ![]() |

MaxInDHouse:You're doing it again!! Arguing out of context. If you were a lawyer, you'll lose many a case. When Jesus' family came to look for him when he was teaching the word to a group. What did he tell them. Who are my brothers and sisters but the one who does my will. After that he didn't segregate them. He still treated them like His earthly family. You're lucky you have someone who know you well enough to point out this blind spot of yours to you. A time will come when you'll crave this opportunity and it won't be there. Concerning the bolded. That truth is Your own interpretation like I said in the previous post. We will know who's lying and who's not. Keep holding on to a fluffy doctrine The scales will fall from your eyes and you'll see |

MaxInDHouse:Whose approval do you seek? Men or God. I've been following your comments in other posts and mine. If you know me well you'll know I'm not one who just tell you the honest truth unless it's very important. All the while we've been arguing or trying to reason out a matter you've been going round in circles and I can see you don't like conceding defeat. You love to win in an argument and it's not bad in itself only that in your case, your arguments are a Hamster's Ferris Wheel all the guys whose accolade you just put up as support of your style ain't 100% honest with you. My Bible tells me to Study and show yourself approved. A workman rightly dividing the word of truth. I don't know how your Bible puts it but you need to study the word and present your arguments in such a way that even a student of the word will commend you. Like I said earlier. Take a look at yourself. This ain't just about your denomination as a JW. This is about you. How right about the word are you. A true Student if the scriptures have many references to back all his or her arguments. You only have your JW and even that is faulty and yet you refuse to see. I feel really really sorry for you. I'll continue to be very honest to you. You may decide to hate me or dislike me and not have anything to do with me for not telling you things you wanna hear or read. It's your call. I'll continue to be that lone voice who'll keep telling you the truth. |

AngelahFlo:God is not speaking for any of us now but this is what Jesus said regarding what you are reading: Let your light shine before men, so that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heavens. Matthew 5:16 These people are from different schools of thought: Churches, Muslim, Atheist, Freethinker and so on. None of them has seen me in person but from what they have read so far they can testify. So in response to your condemnation: AngelahFlo:I quoted them! ![]() |

Truthseeker10:To avoid conflict of interest. Let's just say I agree with you but permit me to add that True Christianity is more than just a religion even by that dictionary definition. It's a lifestyle. It's walking in the footsteps of Jesus and living His kind of life. The Life He gave us when He left this earth. The Eternal Life. This might be hard for you to accept but it's the truth. For if Christianity was just a mere religion as some Christian sects practice and observe. Then the purpose of Christ coming to earth to redeem. Man back to God would have been in vain. Christianity in its truest form always points man back to God through the written and the revealed Word of God |
