Macaroni with sardine. The sardine was actually because the macaroni tasted like sheet. Lol.
Have never been able to cook delish macaroni, spaghetti or jollof rice/fried rice.

What I want to know is where you guys are getting your eggs, because at N6,000 per crate nawa o 😁
It's 6k per crate here. I love eggs because they are really quick to cook and can be ready in as little as 6 minutes. They are the kind of food even certified idiiioots can successfully boil and eat. Sure, they are not very filling. But they make sense if you are not a big fan of cooking, like I am.

na we way no get money Dey wonder, it's nothing to some..... pocket get size...
My dear oga, eggs used to be very scarce and expensive. Do you know why? Because chickens then could only lay like 10 eggs per year. Yes, per year.
Eventually, science and intensive breeding started producing chickens that could lay over 300 eggs yearly. Chicken sizes doubled and tripled too.
See...eggs are supposed to be a very cheap protein source that would be affordable to even the poorest who couldn't afford meat and other proteins. But here, egg don become rich man food. Something that used to be 500 per crate some years ago.
Lol. Around JS2, we were buying egg buns with full egg inside for 10 naira.

Happy new week, madam.
As for the spaghetti or macaroni, I boil for some minutes, but usually end up overboiling. Then I make sauce with garlic and Gino tomato paste, and if the sauce doesn't burn, I dump the boiled macaroni or spaghetti inside and start praying. smiley

Okay for the spaghetti, first bring salty water to a boil. Then, add the spaghetti for 8 minutes then check if it is the firmness you want. Add up to three more minutes.

For a simple sauce, start with oil (olive oil is best), garlic (lots) and onion on medium heat. You don't even have to chop the onion and can put it in halved or whole.

When the onion is shiny, add tomatoes, black pepper, salt, Italian seasoning or any/mix of rosemary, oregano and basil.

If the tomatoes are really good, Gino is not needed. If they are not, use very little Gino and a little sugar.

Splash of cheapest red wine you can find is optional. So is cayenne or red pepper if you like spice.

Let boil, then lower and simmer uncovered on low for at least 30 minutes. The longer it simmers, the better it tastes. I usually go at least an hour. Let me know how it goes if you try it.

If you want to add ground meat, add it after the onions and garlic and as soon as it's all brown, continue the rest as before.
