This has never been true. Even as far back as the 80s, it was reported that many formerly divorced men and woman alike went on to successfully remarry and so on. In the South where abandonment was the norm, this was not properly tracked, however in Northern Nigeria where in some places the official divorce rate was recorded to have been as high as 81%, remarriage was never out of the place. 🤔🤔

The question it was in response to is why some divorced women end up side chicks, making clear that this only applies to women after they have been divorced, not before. So, it could not then be reasonably suggested that said women left their marriages solely with the intention of becoming sidechicks. They each had valid reasons for needing to resign from their marriages, reasons that may not have anything to do with their later decisions to become sidechicks afterwards. 🥱🥱🥱
