Search for courses with more options, it is not only the one with exclusive English(Inglês) you should apply for, it is same with others written (Portuguese, Inglês, Espanol).

Don't limit your chances

I've messed up my intended studies page abi na the site sef dey stress me. I wanted to change one of the University, the site has refused to save the page.
Sometimes when I reload/refresh, the previous information won't be there and the scholarship modality drop down won't be active. And if it is active, it will show that I have entered one University three time(fine, I've removed it) but the save button won't be active again..

Maybe it has closed or due to massive traffic on the site being the fact that it is the last day for registration.

That particular page is having serious issues, the error now is *error processing remote request*

Honestly, it is why I don't like late applications...things always get messed up.

I knew about it few days ago. I don't like late submission too and that's the last step I need to do...hopefully i see the opportunity to submit before it closes by 9pm

Same here. i even sent a mail to them and their response was as follow "Please be advised that our registration system is currently experiencing instability, which may prevent access or completion of the process.

Our technical team is already working to restore normal operations as soon as possible. Please try again later.

Dear candidates,

CAPES informs that the technical team is already aware of the instabilities that occurred in the registration platform of the Graduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG) and is taking the necessary measures to improve the service.

I recently got admission into University of Santa Maria to start March 2026. No scholarship

That means I have to take care of my bills and other expenses. I need guidance on which skill which fetch me more money - I am a teacher but I have basic skills in sewing, I’m thinking of doing advanced level before coming to Brazil or learn data analytics via YouTube and other learning platforms.

Also, will the school inform me on how to go about visa processing? I don’t know how that works or how much it will cost and proof of funds too.

Please I’d appreciate any advice I can get. Thank you!

Regarding scholarship. Have you talked to your coordinator about it. If not, try asking the person or reach out to your department to enquire about the chances of getting a scholarship in the latter semester and how soon.

also note that there is an open and internal call for PEC-PG. I have someone that got admitted and his assigned supervisor already advised him to apply for the PEC-PG so he should begin study in March. So please talk to any of the persons I mentioned.

As regards what you can do. If you dont already have a ready skill I dont know any other means to get along here based on the city I am. Sewing is a good one though cos they love our native attires. I am still owing some people here. You can work around that but thats by the side, for now reach out to those guys.

My advice to you is to put that admission aside and apply first for the PEC-PG program and directly to other schools.

You can enroll to secure the admission before the deadline elapse but try and apply to other schools that will give you scholarship.

If you don't have the financial means, you will face lots of challenges without the monthly stipends.

You need time to settle down and learn the Portuguese language before you can start hustling with any skill or handwork you have.

@TadeDetule @SugarPg my CPF appointment is still in review, i want to know if i can easily get a CPF in brazil, because its compulsory for my enrolment in my univeristy

Congrats on your visa approval.
Your CPF can be issued to you in Nigeria without appearing for appointment at the embassy.

If doesn't happen, you can always get it done once you arrive Brazil. Visit a Policia federal and you will get it without much stress.

things have really changed now. I remembered vividly I did mine at the Nigeria embassy in 2019. but when i finally moved to Brasil and I told my wife to do the same but they declined that she can do it when gets to Brasil.

When she arrives in Brazil, I did everything online without appearing at the policia federal in 2023...

Anyways, they do change policies. just research on the new policies.
