Not sure how the air fryer cut off at the start of cooking, so the white loaves deflated a bit before I noticed and restarted the fryer ☹️.

Used to cook okpa before from okpa flour I bought from a friend. Usually, after cooking, the outer part would be hard and the inner part soft and runny. That vexed me a lot.
But then I learned that the trick is to use ladle or something like that to be turning the okpa every few minutes during the first 15-20 minutes of the cooking process. That way, every part cooks well.

I tried that a week ago and the okpa was solid all through.

Very simple thing they now add medicines ? Is the cassava having fever or headache ? Is is not white enough ? When I stayed with my grandma, she used a simple process to make it.

I like Boba - the Asians use it in their drinks! it is made
from cassava starch.

Why would Nigerians add ibuprofen and acetaminophen to food production ??

They add that stuff to speed up the fermentation process. Funny thing is that they know what they are doing and will happily sell the akpu, but won't eat it themselves.

Couldn't find a great-tasting wheat bread for hubby that wouldn't require one of the children as collateral, so I took up baking. It's smaller because I've been testing out different variations. Finally found the perfect recipe! Seven-year-old wants it all and I have to tell her it's special bread for Daddy's health😁

Harsh and dangerous, yes, but a lot of people don't care. These days, people don't care how they make their money and they are more than willing to sell expired or dangerous stuff to members of the public.
Check on social media and you will see reports and videos of people using bleach and detergent to ferment akpu.

the soft drink and alchol are prepared with more sugar in mind and lots of water in essence you are drinking sugared water
