My wife is from kogi state and she is Yoruba. Her family originated from the local government and still live there till today. Smart Adeyemi, a Yoruba man is an indigenes of kogi state, same with Dino Melaye, another Yoruba man.

we don't have Yoruba in Kogi ! They might bear Yoruba names but many of them don't see themselves as Yoruba

All these people bearing Yoruba names in Kwara and Kogi aren't yoruba... They started bearing that name due to trades, started speaking Yoruba due to interaction but culturally and genetically they aren't Yoruba

Those aren't yoruba indigenes those are migrants from Ife ... The original indigenes of that place are mostly Tapa and Nupe
