It depends on your neighborhood sha. One thing M.I doesn't know is that things are no longer like before. People now prefer to mind their business because I notice whenever you try to correct someone's child they call you busy body. Most especially these useless tiktok mothers nowadays, they're so irresponsible. Sometime ago I saw one of these tiktok mothers with her son somewhere in my street. The boy is about 5yrs old, he was throwing stone into someone's compound and the useless mother didn't even stop him......I was observing if she would say anything but she was just acting as if nothing was happening. I screamed at the boy to stop that nonsense because the stones could hit someone inside. The mother still kept quiet behaving like a mōrøn.....I change am for her immediately. To my surprise she said she didn't notice the boy was throwing stones. What saved her that day was that she didn't challenge me. Even though she didn't say much her eyes and body language did the talking. She was like "why this guy dey shout like this na? He nor dey know small pikin sef" That boy would grow up to be a nuisance to society tomorrow because he was raised by an irresponsible mother. |

njokuuche77:But it’s gradual changing As an example, Yes, it’s wrong for teachers to injure students in the name of discipline. But what now happens is that parents visit schools with thugs to beat some teachers who flogged their children. This wasn’t common those days |

dawnomike:Even with changes it's far better in Nigeria than in Europe 🇪🇺, America 🇺🇸, Australia 🇦🇺 and Canada 🇨🇦, talking from experience living in Europe (Milan Italy) for 7years now. The communal living we have in Nigeria where neighbours check on themselves is not obtainable here. For six months or more you may not see your neighbour. Even those who lived in shared apartment for weeks you may not see you may not see the person you share apartment with with of work and how shift and off days are scheduled. We rise by lifting others |

njokuuche77:Which country does its university students go about butchering one another on the street? Which country has the highest number of both religious youth and youths that are into Internet fraud? Please tell me again which country their youths places money above human dignity? Children raised in Nigeria are mostly liars, swindlers, |

AkhereOkaka:In terms of communal life sure but character wise, Nigerian raised children are about the worst |

dettolgel:True. People simply don't pay attention. Nigerian kids raised by Nigerians abroad tend to be better grounded in terms of character and even culture than many of those at home. The "African parents" thing abroad is real. You are less likely to find a Portable or Tokyo among diaspora children. The battle against stereotypes is clear to them from early childhood. Just take a look at diaspora children in sports. Well focused, cultured and thorough. |

dettolgel:It's not true at all. Abroad raised kids become bratty because of too much children's rights protection from the government. You can't spank your child for stealing meat from the pot, or midnight fridge raids. You'd get arrested very quickly for child abuse. |

The culture of instilling discipline in kids with whips must be preserved. It straightens them out. |

As said by one who does not have kids. All sorts come online to spew trash without any personal experience. While there are advantages raising kids in Nigeria, so also you have advantages raising them abroad. |

The government can solve so many problems in Nigeria by simply making electricity constant for Nigerians. The Ethiopians seems to have gotten the message by building the largest hydro electricity dam in Africa. Heath, Education, security and unemployment will instantly begin to improve. I think the government should do something unconventional by getting 3 highly reputable Nigerians to do what the first lady is doing for the national library. This time the fund will be for electricity, every Nigerian rich or poor will be encouraged to donate. Financial institutions, religious institutions, everyone even foreigners who are interested. We really need electricity to defeat poverty in Nigeria. |

payloader:Yet Nigerian youths praise yahoo yahoo as a source of income and even export cultism to foreign countries. We have our youths fomenting trouble in China. The other day, they ransacked a jewellery store in broad daylight in Dubai. The good thing I can think of regarding raising children in Nigeria is the adaptation and perseverance skills. |

Wealthoptulent:Yes na xo.. Everything does not start and end in North America where strange practices and decaying morals are the norms. There are many other countries in Europe and Asia where you can raise children in sound morals to be useful to themselves and the society |

The funny part is in this era, where your neighbours and kinsmen are the ones, that want your children to die or be useless all because of Envy. |
