So for the past 3 or 4 months now I've been trying to move out of my school hostel to stay off campus.

Hostel is now too crowded and the space is something else.

Our rooms are the size of my bathroom at home (I'm not joking).

I'm just dying here little by little.

So I decided to start saving for a selfcon off campus.

When I started saving selfcon was 200k at the time.

3 months later, I've saved 250k.

Guess what...

Selfcons are now 300k-350k

Like?

Omo I just weak like maad yesterday

Now I have to save for additional 2 or 3 more months again to reach this amount.

I'm sure by then, the prices would have made another leap again.

Honestly, I just don't understand this country anymore.

My plan was to move out this month but honestly, I don't think that will be possible anymore.

normally houses no cost.

But as na student area the landlords are just doing as they like.

Imagine my friend paid for his house on Friday evening. We went there together o. The next day, Saturday night when we took some of his load there, the man said house rent has increased

Landlords here are crazy. He added extra 50k that night we had to beg and beg until my friend paid him extra 32k before he allowed him to move in.

The thing is house is scarce here and people are always renting. I think it's because school over admitted student this year sha.

it worked for you and I'm glad.

But it's not working for me right now. I was off campus before now.

Since I lost my dad I moved to the hostel. I've been in this hostel for 5years now.

I'm sure you didn't spend that much time in school hostel.

Plus I still have 2 years more in this place. Not bad to start arranging myself again since I'm working little by little

Update:

Finally got a place last weekend. Moved in.

More like this moving in. Small small.

I spent everything i had on me on the apartment. 350k.

So I'm moving my stuff manually from the hostel to the place.

Every night I and some of my friends will carry one or two and trek to the apartment.

I went to move some this morning too.

But the place is clean. Can't remember the last time I slept as good as I have this past few days.

Now I can even sleep in the afternoon

I'm yet to fix light. So I've been using my power bank torch ever since.

I no get one kobo on me right now. But it's all good.

Let's see how to survive till ending of the month when I'll get some funds to work with.

P.s nobody has asked me for nepa bill since and I'm really anxious about it because I no hold money again.
