This is why i am against hiring local coaches because they are just there to be puppets of the NFF. In 2025 we are still imposing players on coaches instead of giving the free hand to select whomever they want to select. This is the same nonsense they did with the Super eagles that put us in the position we are in now in WCQs. Quota system, DEI selections will always drag us back but these corrupt NFF people don't care because the more HB players the less likely they will speak out when bonuses and allowances are not paid as at when due. They are OK with weaking the team so long as they can keep chopping the players hard earned money. The NFF board led by Ibrahim Gausau and Ibrahim Sanusi is the worst in the history of Nigerian football. It needs to be dissolved ASAP. |

lovewins:The girls were still busy praying when the count down to start the game was over. Now they have to do it the hard way |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi: 8:22pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
aicon4s:I don't understand. Were they holding crusade and altar call when the game started? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 8:24pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
Why are they always shooting the ball 30 yards out? This is emblematic of Bankole's team and it's concerning. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by solonnachi: 8:35pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
Nigeria 1-1 Canada (30') Queen Joseph scores |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by oloriooko(m): 8:52pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
HT Can 1 Nig 1 Our girls should put their balls on the ground, the Canadians are tall and good in the air Our girls fought back from one goal down to equalise but immediately the Canadians started pushing us back and we've had so many misplaced passes and unforced errors Well they are kids and girls for that matter |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by aicon4s: 8:57pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
solonnachi:The Canadian girls settled down early and ready for kickoff in very high spirit while our girls rushed into kickoff after their long prayer and crusade and were still trying to settle down into the game and then team that had the psychological edge from the kickoff took the lead in less than 90secs. The coaches better talk to them. Nigeria, with our pedigree at youth levels should be aiming at winning this tournament this time. We are tired of quarter final exits each time ![]() |

The coach needs to tell his girls to calm down before taking shots abeg. |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 9:32pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
We have a goalkeeper crises in women's football. This flamingoes goalkeeper is a disaster. My God!!! |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 9:33pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
I don't trust that keeper one bit |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 9:35pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
Why use Christiana Uzoma in the qualifiers and not take her to the World Cup. It's like coach Bankole is tired of this job |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 9:35pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
This man can't even show on the field of play the upgrade to whatever his philosophy is despite getting b2b jobs with the cadet team. Not even an upgrade. Not even a sign that influence of experience is the difference. We are just on this because Canada too no sabi aside height. Smh |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by oloriooko(m): 9:40pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
lovewins:Not the goalkeeper s fault cuz the Canadians passed the ball from their box until they got to our half which led to the throw from which a simple pass led to the goal Our gals play as if it's a primary school competition everybody following ball everywhere The MF is empty, the 9ja captain is nowhere Now it's Canada 3 Nig 1 Now the goalkeeper lost a ball without contest for the 3rd goal seem you're rite we don't have a goalie |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by oloriooko(m): 9:43pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
BascoVanVeli:You're very rite, na basket we put for goal |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 9:43pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
Bankole is so inept a coach it's concerning. It's not his fault though, it's the dummies in the NFF who watched his last team and felt he was good enough to continue that bears responsibility for this. I'm not particularly concerned about outcomes when it comes to age grade teams. My primary concern is if there's enough potential to leverage on for the future. That's the primary essence of these competition. Not impressed with what I've seen so far. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 9:45pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
oloriooko:I didn't even see the third goal, but your comment is kinda funny cause you probably had put up a defence in her favour before you realized what was happening and had to amend your comment. She's been terrible all game. My comment on her came even before we conceded the 2nd goal. She's been terrible. |

U17 women WC Can 4 Nig 1 Terrible display tonite Horrible coaching produces terrible players They should do and come home, you can't point to a single player good enough in the team, terrible bunch of players |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 9:54pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
This reminds me of Dedevbo's U20s when they got thrashed by Japan. At least that Japan side was actually great. This Canadian team is average and we are appalling |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by aicon4s: 10:02pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
So embarrassing. This Canadian team is at best average. Our own team is so disorganised. A far cry from the performance we presented just a year ago. Where did the coach pick this bunch from? The only recognisable person their is Shakirat Moshood. Where is Chidi Harmony? I thought she was 15yrs old last year? |
