Funny enough that's the stage most guys attach themselves to girls as besties with no commitment or responsibility. In most cases he'll even know her boyfriend. She'll always save a portion of edibles for him whenever she goes on a date.

To me, that's one of the best years in the life of a guy. Cos once you hit 30 you'd have to start running away from girls cos at that stage most of them would want you to shoulder their responsibilities, they'll want marriage and commitment.

Also a question is a basic inquiry of something or knowledge of something. it is objective and removes assumption. It is never wrong to ask.

The lady is uncultured obviously, some people here are fond of supporting animalistic behavior like one displayed by the lady and call it being "assertive", that is utter nonsense. There were more ways than one to reject the proposal without being insulting.

If things were to be equalized and commensurate energy returned in response, the guy could take the rejection, but insult her as well by being creative with assumptions about her as she has done him.

Men should be emotionally intelligent and not just be assuming and they should know how to woo friends in other not to get a heartbreak like this. to frame it as victimization is to infantilize the man implying he lacks the emotional fortitude to withstand a negative response. he is presumably an adult capable of handling disappointment without resorting to the melodramatic claim of being victimized.

if the woman response included threats or other forms of harmful behavior then a claim of victimization might hold merit. a mere rejection even phrased unkindly does not meet the threshold for genuine victimhood.
