Each time I ask my hubby, “Are you hungry?”
His answer is always a confident “No.” 😅

So I went ahead and served just myself… only for him to take my spoon, and start eating the same food he said he didn’t want! 😂

In the early days of our marriage, I used to frown at this — but not anymore. I’ve learned to always take an extra spoon along, whether he plans to eat or not. Because, well, I know how this story ends! ❤️

Even Baby Light joined in the fun — she loved the food so much she couldn’t stop rubbing her head and doing her little happy dance while eating.
Our daughter is such a drama queen! 😄

Sounds like my sister, she claims she doesn't eat spicy food and her food is always bland, but make no mistake of leaving her with a plate of spicy food because she will clear the entire plate and come up with hundred excuses afterwards...😂😂😂

I like that your husband, he doesn't answer stupiiiid questions just like me . How will you ask somebody that you haven't given food before if he was hungry . I will always say no to such questions, but you that asked me that question should prepare for the consequences ooo

that looks like pottage with vegetable and it is very rich especially when you cook it like my wife who goes further to add dried fish and shrimps, how is it poverty food? All because it doesn't have the appearance of fried rice or jollof rice that physically look attractive? The way some people talk is disgusting

Why do we Africans have this tendency of downgrading our native food and labelling them poverty food?

I'm sure you'd consider the same rice that is the native food of China and highly consumed in Chinese villages as proper food while ridiculing your own.
