Government of propaganda, By propaganda and for Propagandists...

Instead of solving national problems, they will run back to their Lagos ibadam express way mercenary press houses for more propaganda..

What's more? Dollar price moved down MASSIVELY from 1500/1usd to 1499/usd. Petrol from 1000/litter to 995/litter.

These are considered as earthshaking progress . Remind them of the prices of all these before APC and they start to foam in the mouth.

No spark, No fire.
No Substance upstairs, No inventive administrative abilities.
Just tribalism and sectionalism.
This is a harvest season!

The price of food stuffs crash this time every year.

Re: Why Is The Price Of Rice Crashing In Lagos? by Yankee101: 5:30pm On Oct 28, 2025
Buhari gave local rice producers and millers a strong business opportunity
But like everything in Nigeria, they abused it. They hiked the price even above imported rice. Dangote is doing the same with petroleum now. I hope the government allows suitable competition to bring down fuel prices, if not imports will be resumed by a different government

We like to skin our own people for quick profits

NaijaphiliaBlog:
The price of rice is currently going through the floor in multiple markets all over Lagos, the economic capital of Nigeria.

This has been confirmed by traders and consumers in the city interviewed by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) and who disclosed that the essential victual has witnessed a sudden drop in price.

The crash in price affects both local and foreign brands of rice.

In various markets such as Arena (Oshodi), Festac Town, Mile 12, and Oyingbo, a 50kg bag local rice which sold for about ₦85,000 in January 2025 currently sells between ₦60,000 and ₦70,000.

Likewise, foreign rice which was ₦95,000 as at January is now between ₦65,000 and ₦75,000 depending on the brand/location.

The price drop has been credited to improved local harvests and a massive surge in imports following the reopening of Nigeria’s borders.

Rice was ₦15k when APC entered.

They increased it to ₦100k then it came to ₦58k and guess what? APC propagandists say rice has reduced in cost!

MadamExcellency:
A bag of rice selling at a price equivalent to minimum wage is absurd.

A Nigerian soldier told me he earned N36,000 per month in 2014, and bought 4 bags of rice from his town at N7,000 each and still got N8,000 to run expenses for the month but today, he is paid N90,000 and he can only afford a bag of rice. Na so, I begin to pity them.

So the soldier didn’t get promoted since 2014? For him to still be earning minimum wages.

Justice for military cadets.

When local manufacturers had opportunities to leverage on government's support and make life comfortable for fellow citizens,is it not hoarding they resorted to ? They were inflicting pains on people because they wanted to make huge profits. How can locally produced rice costs more than imported one and you want government to fold its arms and continue watching? Many of Nigerian farmers are greedy
What government's support? Farm inputs, implements and farming operation generally is now very expensive in Nigeria! No subsidies on tractors, diesel, seeds /seedlings, fertilisers, chemicals or transport.
Right now, farmers are making huge losses which means lesser/fewer numbers of farmers will return to farms next raining season. That's what government's policy somersaults always cause

the support by Buhari government alone is enormous. Are you not aware of anchor borrowing by Emefiele led CBN? Are you not aware land boarders were totally blocked so as to encourage indigenous production of rice and other items? The present government has equally bought tractors.

we can react to things in our different perspectives,I’m neither a politician or a government worker.i am a nigerian that feels what majority of Nigerians feel but we can’t continue to complain about everything, when it is bad we complain and when it is good we complain.we complain about price of rice and attribute the rising cost to insecurity in the north then we blame the government but is there a legislation that says we shouldn’t grow rice in the south too?,don’t we have fertile lands to grow crops in the south too?.everything must not be centered around Tinubu because of opposition and hatred.criticisms should be objective abeg
