The day Chiamaka Nnadozie will not be available that is when we would see the poor goalkeepers they’re parading around the SuperFalcons..

And I hope it’s not in an important game!!

We need better backup goalkeepers we can rely on…

Justin Madugu should checkout this ones if we truly need a capable 2nd & 3rd choice..
1• Rita Akarekor 🇹🇿
2• Onyinyechi Okeke 🇮🇱
3• Comfort Erhabor 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Word on the street is that Onyinyechi Zogg put in a decent shift for her Australian club..

I think she will have to show more consistency before dreaming of another call-up to the Super Falcons.

Benin Female Players honour Assisat Oshoola

Wonderful: After the thrilling match between Nigeria Super Falcons and Benin, the Benin players recognized that this was truly a treasured moment — an honor to share the field with the six-time CAF Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala. It might not come again, so they came prepared, with a heartfelt tribute from home to celebrate this African football icon.

She stands as the most decorated African female player of all time, a beacon of excellence and inspiration

This gesture from the Benin female team was both thoughtful and respectful ❤️ 🙌 🇳🇬 🇧🇯

The thing is Zogg is already 28+

I must say the Center Backs we need right now should be U25 down at least that can last 5-8yrs in the team pairing with Blessing Demehin or anybody else.

We need a very physical Center Back with good aerial ability, and speed to outmuscle opponents and win duels..

I must say a Defender that can come up and win her Challenges against those kind of Banda, Chawinga, Dumornay kind of Forwards ..

She should be very good with the ball at her feets, must also possess strong leadership, communication, and tactical awareness to organize the defense, read the game, and anticipate opponents' moves…

Maureen Umeughochukwu comes to mind as she fits in Perfectly well, she has a great height, well built and a modern day ball playing Defender.

But will have to move over to a top side first considering still pursuing other stuff outside the game which is one reason she’s still there in France.. 🇫🇷

Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu has apologized to the fans of the Super Falcons for failing to produce a result that meets up with the expectations of Nigerians after the team's 1-1 draw against Benin Republic. He remarked that there is always a standard to which the team is expected to perform in games, however, the Super Falcons were not able to perform as such, labelling it an "off day" for the ladies but then they will see the result as a wake up call to the fact that there is more works to be done.

Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade emphasized that the team did not at any point understimate the capabilities of their counterparts Benin Republic in their WAFCON qualification game that ended 1-1 at the MKO Abiola Arena, Abeokuta. She maintained that even in Togo, where the two teams played the forst leg of the double-header, they knew the Amazons would be tougher as getting a result against the African Champions would mean a lot to them. She admitted that the Falcons did not particularly play their best game but noted that it was an opportunity to detect their loopholes and as well correct them ahead of subsequent games.

Benin Republic women’s head coach, Abdoulaye Ouzerou has said that he expected his side to win their second leg tie against Nigeria. Speaking in a translated speech after the game, the gaffer said he always believed his team had what it takes to win, and he tried to instill that notion in his players. Overall, he said he is satisfied with the result, but would’ve be more satisfied when they start winning.

• Do you accept Coach Madugu's apology?
• Did Nigeria underestimate Benin?
• What must the team improve upon to secure an 11th title in Morocco?

Answering your questions:
1. No. He had no strategic ideas on how to break the Beninois team, pure and simple. Starting an over-the-hill Oshoala in attack demonstrated his questionable tactical ability.
2. They also had a relatively poor game in the 1st leg.
3. I doubt if they will win #11 under this man, that's my opinion.

@Deltamani,
On another note, any word on Favor Emmanuel?
Where is she and whatever happened to her after she abruptly terminated her contract with San Diego Wave?

Asisat is past her best. Any coach starting Asisat Oshaola in 2025 is not desirous of doing well..

Sorry, I might have missed that.
If that's the case, what on earth was Magudu doing with Taiwo Afolabi when you had a Favour Emmanuel that is a million times better and offers much more grit and intelligent play in the midfield?
That man is a joke!

Let’s just hope her time comes anytime soon.
Again I do not fancy Ajibade in Midfield at all, Randy tried this earlier on until he moved her back to the flanks were she performed well..

Madugu doesn’t play a Double Pivot (2 CDM) in Midfield like Randy..

He prefers 1 DM and 2 CAM midfielders..

That doesn’t make her less a Nigerian..!

And again the news is all in public but she hasn’t come out yet to say she’s playing for Spain over Nigeria yet… So there might still be some hope!.

The NFF and Madugu should blame themselves as well for not Capping her earlier on when she was still on the rise unlike now that she’s at the top level..!

Flourish Sebastian has scored 3 goals in the last 2 games. It appears Turkey has helped stabilise her giving her a chance at success. I don't mind her getting another chance with the Super Falcons to prove herself. Talent has never been the problem with her, it's been whether or not she's able to translate her game and it appears she's doing just that.

Apparently the Spanish Coach was recently asked about Imade and this was her response:

This suggests she's actively working towards switching her allegiance to Spain hence the need for paperwork. Wishing her all the best of that's the case.

My opinion:

Would have been a good addition to the squad, but I sincerely do not think we'll miss out on much by now having her. Thankfully we have quite a number of young strikers doing very well, we just need to be intentional about getting the best out of them.

On Imade, I sincerely do not think Spain is a good fit for her. First, I don't see her getting a lot of game time ahead of those currently there. Secondly, Spain's style of play isn't the best suit for a player like her. I do hope I'm wrong on this though as I wish her nothing but the best.
I think she is more suit to the Spanish team than the Nigerian team because she is a poacher and not the kind of player that tracks back, the reason why she doesn’t rake in significant assists. Spanish team has an array of midfielders to lay passes for her to finish. Just that she may not have the playing time cos Spain has a lot of players in that role.
Nigerian team needs strikers that can score and fight from the midfield and not someone that will be spoon-fed to finish.

My opinion anyway

Yeah… She fits both teams but in Spain only Esther is way ahead of her in that top9 position… Salma, Redondo and Cristina Martín-Prieto are definitely behind her right now..

Again in Nigeria she will thrive as well with someone like Esther, Chioma Okafor, Ajibade on the flanks..

We have Payne, Abiodun and Echegini that can also feed her from midfield even though the Spanish team hold higher ground but she will also succeed with the SuperFalcons..

Does Granada, Real Sociedad have the qualities Spain have in Midfield??

• As for the Assist aspect, yes she doesn’t rake up in that aspect but it’s better to do her main job which is the Finishing..

• She fits the African style of play as well because of how well built she is...

• Edna is very Strong, Fast, good in the Air and uses both feet’s effectively..

• She’s the best top 9 in Liga F 🇪🇸 right now

As for the aspect of tracking back to defend you’re wrong, she does that very well and have watched her defend in their box during Corner kicks.

Put Esther Okoronkwo on the flank for Edna Imade and watch her deliver..

Edna is deadly in the air and very powerful which I’m pretty sure if she plays for Nigeria she can get on the end of Esther’s Crosses weda from Corner kicks or Free Kicks.

In all we 🇳🇬 need her more than Spain.!!

I love how this our SuperFalcons players who played in Sweden 🇸🇪 did got their citizenship as well.. Not just football money..

1• Faith Ikidi
2• Rita Chikwelu
3• Oghonna Chukwudi
4• Sarah Michael
5• Ngozi Okobi
6• Halimatu Ayinde
7• Helen Ukaonu etc these are the ones I’m 💯 sure of..

And I know very well that Anam IMO is following same path one of the reasons she hasn’t left there as well.
