I've seen patterns in the dating world that aren't always easy to swallow, but they shape how connections play out. Here's what I've gathered – stories and observations that cut through the noise. Looks Open the Door, Game Brings You Home You can be chiseled, tall, and handsome – but if your opening words are corny, your physique won't save you. Looks get you to the door; game gets you to the bedroom. It's harsh, but it's how the game unfolds. Every Woman Has an Upgrade Path Every woman is available to a more influential guy if she's not finding fulfillment in adding value to your life. If she's emotionally single and mentally unstimulated, the recipe for trouble is set. It's not about her being "bad"; it's about unmet needs. First Impressions Are Like Set Concrete 99% of women's first impressions of you stick – if she pegs you as someone she'd tolerate mediocrity with, you'll struggle to shift that perception. The more you try to change it, the more she'll see what she initially thought. Your Heart's Safeguard Is You Women can't break your heart – only you can, by prioritizing someone else over yourself. Mastering your emotions means nobody holds that power over you. It's a shield you craft. Dinner Dates Send Signals Inviting her on a pricey first dinner date can signal you're trying too hard – if character isn't drawing her in, sexual attraction won't follow. It's about vibe, not just spend. Chasing Wealth, Chasing Replacement Follow the "chase the bag" mantra blindly, and you'll get replaced by guys with bigger bags. It's a race you'll lose if that's all you're doing. Fulfillment Turns Off the Alternatives Women are hypergamous when unfulfilled sexually and emotionally. Captivate her completely, and other guys fade into the background – she sees you. Dynamics of Desire Dictate Power The one craving sex more in a relationship is the follower. It's a balance that speaks volumes about who's leading. Leadership Shows Up Early Going with the flow on first meets signals you can't lead – and she'll take the reins. Make plans, set vibes. Food for Thought on Takeaway Requests If she asks for extra food to go on a dinner date, it's often not for her – it's for another guy. Read the signs. Curiosity Is a Power Play If you're wondering what's on her phone, she's got leverage. You should be the one others wonder about. Innocence and Accountability There aren't innocent women, just innocent guys often caught unaware. Awareness shifts the game. Attractiveness Starts in the Mind Thinking you must "do things" to be attractive implies you're not – that mindset shows in your value to her. Competence Trumps Perfection Women don't need a flawless man; they need someone more competent than themselves who loves himself fiercely. The Rumor Mill Runs Fast Women chat about you – if you're remarkable or a joke. Anything middle-of-the-road? Forgettable. Appreciation and Loss Go Hand-in-Hand Women appreciate what they could lose. Promise forever, and they might discount you. Flakiness Is a Reflection of Interest Women aren't flaky; they're uninterested – unless they're intrigued, then they'll concoct wild excuses to see you. Ignoring Works Only If You Matter Ignoring disinterested women doesn't faze them; they won't notice. Delete and move on instead. The "Bad Boy" Paradox Women want a "bad boy" for her alone – but really needing is you being authentic, not playing parts. Being the Prize Is a Two-Way Street You can't be the prize without the work, and you can't do the work doubting you're it. Congruence is key – belief and evidence align. |

If it's not to much to ask, Can you do a practical writeup on dating and intimacy? More like this, this and this are variations on how you can do this and that, I know these are not set in stones, but practical guides will go a long way. Cause I have come across a lot of articles like this, where the reader is left to his or her creative and discreet imagination. Some times what you might imagine might be synonymous to shooting yourself in the heel. So please a practical guide or steps will be very much appreciated |

So we're not supposed to ask for takeaways when we're out because you're insecured?😒😒😒 |

Samantha125:Who is the takeaway for, if you aren’t a single mother ![]() |

It's for me to eat at home and if I'm a single mother, I'd have already told you about the child, so I don't understand why it would be an issue. If you don't want a single mother, then don't date one. SpencerForbes: |

Samantha125:'eat at home' – what does that even mean? As a guy, I'm thrown off when a woman expects takeouts just to eat at her place. To me, it raises some big red flags. It tells me she's likely to expect you to cover all expenses – if she can't even sort out food at home, she's probably gonna be looking to you for everything. Seems like she'd be a bit of a pa asite. It also says she might lack a bit of self-respect. Someone with their head held high wouldn't be okay with that kind of thing. Can you imagine a wealthy woman asking for takeaways just to eat at her place? If you really wanted the food, you'd be thinking of going there another time not while I’m still there. Plus, if she isn’t heading to her boyfriend's place, why the takeaways? A dinner date should leave you full before you head home – is she really eating at midnight? Especially if she's staying alone, doesn't add up. If she can't give a straight answer about where the food's going, you gotta be curious. And single moms? I've dated a few out of love for adventure ( I’m the kinda guy that loves tasting everything😁) and let's just say it never works out well. I'm done with that scene now – wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either. So if the reason for the takeaway is unexplained, she has something up her sleeves. |

Samantha125:real men don't take any girl out on a date. It is women that hang out with them. When you're chasing purpose as a man, you'll not be short of beautiful women in ur free space. Ask dangote, otedola, elemelu and co.. |

I've noticed something – Nigerian men tend to be pretty direct with Nigerian women, often skipping the romantic buildup. A quick touch, and they expect things to move fast. This pattern's kinda ingrained in our women, making them think pre-intimacy's some kinda fantasy. But it's not – it's part of the deal. Sure, taking the lead's great, but showing a softer side now and then doesn't hurt. It's all about that push and pull vibe. Thing is, in Nigeria, we seem to value how long we last more than how fulfilling it was. That's why dating, like taking someone out on a proper date, feels kinda alien. To me, it's just natural. You can even do it at home. You don't gotta rush to intimacy every time you see someone – there's space for more than just that. You don’t have to think of being laid every second. 🚶♂️ |

Even if I'm paying for the takeaway with my own money? You must be joking...😒😒😒 And as for the bolded, some of us we're insomniac and can't fall asleep before 1 or 2 am, you'll find me in the kitchen at 1am fixing myself a snack or having a drink... So yes, we do eat at midnight. SpencerForbes: |

Samantha125:If you're paying for yourself, and you respect and like the person, it's normal to give them a reason why – unless you aren't planning to see them again, that is. If you buy takeaway without explaining, the guy's first thought might be you’ve got somewhere else to go especially if you had something. If you explain it to him, then he might understand your reason. But if you just grab takeout without saying why, especially if you’re living alone, it looks like you’re hiding something. So the best solution is communication Normally I don’t care who’s banging my woman as long as I don’t catch her. When she’s available, she’s mine. When she’s not, I’m limited. But the dinner date is what most ladies do. Ladies have made us guys pretty skeptical – we overlook some things, but others are clear signals. Ignore those, and you're likely gonna be seen as a fool. |

My reason would be that I'll be eating it home...🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️... The problem is you with your insecurities, since when does buying takeaways to eat at home has anything to do with another man? At bolded, may you live long, no weapon fashioned against shall prosper, you shall succeed in everything you do in life, in fact, you can have as many side chicks as you like in this world, now somebody shout AMEN!!! ![]() SpencerForbes: |

Diamond098454:Apart from physical disabilities, health issues, or diseases, I'm pretty open – I like experiencing different sizes and shapes. All kinds of looks 😁. Even if I decide to settle down tomorrow, I'm not gonna be thrown by a woman's physiology. I've kinda trained myself to look beyond physical stuff – a woman's body doesn't grab me as much as her character and habits do. |

Samantha125:If you give me a reason, I'm good with it. As a guy, I'm curious – outside of a dinner date, can you honestly say you don't know any woman who's taken stuff from another guy to give to her boyfriend who's struggling? Food, cash, some even bring clothes for their broke partner. At the bolded, I've kinda conditioned myself to think all women are prone to cheat – even a daughter kept super restricted. If she wants something, like a ride, she'll find a way. Women are pretty sharp, and it seems like only one who doesn't want to cheat wouldn't – if she does want to, the more you try to catch her, the more she adapts her game. I tell all my ladies they can cheat, and if they start, they'll think I've dropped my guard. They won't realize till they're caught in my trap, so tracking doesn't seem worth it to me. I've figured with women, "the more you look, the less you see; the less you look, the more you observe." I let her do her thing – till she slips up, she won't know I'm onto her. |
