From one extreme to the other. If we are being fair and honest there is a balanced line that could have been taken.

In my opinion, the Brighton subs were not too early and he shouldn’t take too much blame for the sluggish performances of the subs. Dorgu cracked under pressure with an unnecessary mistake which led to the first goal, and the other subs should have been able to hold down their own.

But that Nottingham Forest game, he was a coward. The attack needed fresh energy and he should’ve still brought on a few guys, even though their introduction unbalanced the ship in the last game.

It was reminiscent of Ole’s period. Where he wouldn’t make any sub even though the game was desperately calling for one.

I didn’t watch the 2nd half but I can’t comprehend a manager making only 2 subs in a game in which he is chasing points. The only explanation is fear and it sends a message to the players on the bench. How they respond will depend on each player.

Should’ve brought on Mount and Zirkzee for maybe Sesko and Cunha, or even Cunha and a defender.

He was probably afraid to introduce an attacker for a defender because he thought we’d suffer at the back and concede another goal.

It’s very clear that he is a rookie that is still learning on the job. Took him so long to acclimatize to the PL and he still hasn’t completed his orientation- after a whole year.

Zirkkzee especially deserves some minutes in that Forest game. He was decent last season and can do a job in that game.

lammens is another culprit we are not talking about. Look at how he has been conceding goals. In the keeping aspect, I don't think we have get it right. We still need a good and experienced keeper, for meoo, I don't see any difference between onana and lammens. infact in terms of experience, I will choose onana. Im still hoping Lammens can prove me wrong going foward

That NF game shows that even though he exudes confidence when he talks, he has huge doubts within himself either about the players or himself.

There are 2 major obstacles I still see in this team.

1) The players struggling to play with intensity for 90 straight minutes

2) The coach not getting the timing and choice of his substitutions right.

More than player quality or tactics, these are the 2 major problems we have right now.

That issue of intensity has been a persistent problem for years now. I don't know whether our players do not watch other teams or if they just can't be bothered to run their socks off...I watch Liverpool play with intensity for 90 mins against Madrid and that's why they won. If we play we the required intensity, we have enough quality to beat this injury ravaged Spurs team.

Some players naturally have intensity while some do not.

What you are seeing is the effect of training players with natural low intensity to play high intensity. No matter how much you train them, even if they start playing with high intensity they will occasionally revert to factory setting.

The solution is to get our player ID right and buy players who have natural tendency to play high intensity football.

Things are a bit better now not because of any magical training regimen but because we are buying more high intensity players. You can’t buy Juan Mata and expect Mbeumo intensity.

I wouldn't be surprised if the record ends under Amorim. We achieved it in the 5 subs era so thats amazing. It should be harder to end the record in the 9 sub era but its not looking good.
