Funny that this question is coming from a Hausa lady. But since she is dumb, it might help her to know that while the Hausa and Yoruba choose to focus on politics, the Igbo largely control Nigeria's commercial and economic life. This cannot be overstated.

Making a tribal statement now won’t save terrorists supporters and sympathisers ..
Diverting attention and distracting us from the issue at hand won’t save Nigeria

Stop the the massacre of Chrtistians..

If I must address the topic, then the Muslim lady asking the question should call for Igbo exodus through legitimate process if she doesn’t know the contribution of Igbos.. After the exit, we shall know if Igbos are productive or not

That's not the point.
Our coexistence as a Nation should be based on basic principles of equity, justice and fairness.
No tribe or persons should be regarded as 1st or 2nd class citizens.

Which commercial and economic life of Nigeria do you control. Where precisely are you controlling them?

This is just big grammar. Tinubu should restructure this country so that everyone will control their resources and pay taxes to the centre. Once that is done, nobody will be asking these kinds of silly questions.

I'm surprised that Tinubu has refused to set the motion for restructuring after calling for it for over a decade. Politicians are horrible people.

Don't mind him. Their region, for example, contribute one of the lowest VAT of any Nigerian region yet collect the heaviest from the central pot.

I could give ten examples of their parasitism on the rest of Nigeria that shows the poster you responded to, and most of his ethnic kinsmen, are delusional and brainwashed with tales from infancy of how great they are and how they are "developers" and saviours of others.

No greater empty barrel on earth than those lot.

The north contributes majority of the poverty rate in Nigeria and sub saharan Africa.

So before you ask what Igbo people contribute, remove the millions of your almajiris from the streets first.

She is young, naive and ignorant that's why she would ask such baseless question based on decadelong lies his political elites and Yoruba political media of the old sold to uninformed Nigerians like her.

Let me educate her a bit.

During Biafra Nigeria civil war, Biafra government explored and refined crude oil locally in some communities in Imo state and also tried seizing the oil fields in Bayelsa and Rivers.

I am very much aware based on insider information from a close relative working with NNPC who also worked with Agip exploration department before joining NNPC that there are crude oil sites which were intentionally abandoned in Imo and Abia states while the same NNPC spent billions exploring crude oil in Chad Basin .

The reason they abandoned those large crude oil sites in some Imo and Abia communities is to sabotage Southeast economy and to justify their claim that Southeast is barren and contributes next to nothing to Nigeria's crude oil resources revenue so that Igbos won't start using it to threaten Nigeria for another secession.

Before this, during state creations, Northern and Southwest Heads of states that created states made sure there were bias boundary adjustments that made sure oil rich communities in Imo state were removed from Imo state and placed in Rivers state just to strip Southeast of having any crude oil community. This led to some Ohaji Egbema Igbo people of Imo state being in Rivers state while their next compound relative is in Imo state. This is what happened to former IG of Police of Nigeria who later contested for Ohanaeze Ndigbo; the man stated that some of his family members are in Imo state while some in Rivers, so they usually interchange their state of origin depending on what they stand to benefit.

Also ask yourself why Cross River state that is geopolitically located in Southeast intentionally placed in SouthSouth, it was also to sabotage Igbos economically by making sure Igbos don't have any access to sea to own a seaport. These were all designed by Britain and handed over to Hausa-Fulanis and their Yoruba collaborators after the civil war to make sure Igbos never rise again to make attempt to secede or divide Nigeria.

But people like Olusegun Obasanjo, T.Y. Danjuma who were privy to these wicked plans against Igbos saw that it was inhumane as they are approaching old age and want to correct their past mistakes of aligning with the British and Hausa-Fulani evil machinations against Igbos, reason they all supported Peter Obi in 2023 to erode their roles in the past against Igbos but still the young people from North and mostly Southwest are continuing in that evil agenda against Igbos thinking it would make them cool and superior even when their aging elites who participated in that are trying so hard to distant themselves from their past mistakes, time will tell.

So to the naive Hausa lady, my dear, Southeast will become the richest region if Nigeria breaks up because there are countless large crude oil sites in Southeast intentionally abandoned by Nigeria's bias federal government to punish Igbos, so if Nigeria breaks up, you guys will see some surprises.

Also remember that natural gas is the next gold mine of the world and majority of Nigeria's natural gas deposit is located in Southeast.

Also ask yourselves this question: is it possible for Imo state, Abia and Anambra states communities separated by very thin line borders to not have as much crude oil deposits with Rivers and Delta their next door neighbors? It's all a planned sabotage against Igbos and Southeast handed over to Northern Nigeria by the evil British government.

So make una relax.

I don't want to talk about Igbos controlling Nigeria's trade and commerce, I intentionally focused on mineral and natural resources which are what Nigerians see as the main thing that makes a region important forgetting that human capital development which Igbos happens to be the number one or probably at par with the Yorubas, happens to be the biggest value any nation can boast of.

That question supposed to be directed to the questionnaire! No doubt! the economy usefulness of the north to this nation is banditry, kidnapping and terrorism we know the binaries so stop manipulating and blackmailing us by distorting the fact. After holding the nation and this particular group of people to ransom you still have the guts! Audacity!! and temerity!!! to spew out this gutter from your mouth.

The discussion shouldn't be about who is contributing more but how can all the regions in Nigeria work together to grow the economy of the country.

Who exactly is doing that if not their leaders in the legislative houses who have never demanded the inclusion of a secession clause in the Nigerian constitution?

Ironically, it was their hero Azikiwe who ensured the British administrators of Nigeria, at the time, excluded secession clause insertion in the Nigerian constitution when Awolowo demanded it. That folly of Azikiwe remains our status quo till today.

Does it then make sense to you for SW, SS and Northern legislators to be fighting for what Igbos are demanding whereas Igbo legislators remain silent and, showing they want permanent and full integration in the land of others, even sponsor bills for the removal of state of origin from the identity of Nigerians as Ben Kalu sought?

I don't know how people like you reason. These people are millions, and increasing daily, in the land of those they claim hate them and are holding them back. Yet they keep moving out of the SE to the land of their "enemies" in thousands daily !!!

Their leaders too, especially legislators like Abaribe with powers to move in favour of Igbo demand for secession, are chopping salaries and benefits of Nigerian legislative office while cleaning mouth and pretending to know nothing of Biafra.

Yet you dare write the bolded that shows you are nothing but an unreasonable person expert at fake victimhood.

This is how people fail exams and blame their lecturers for it. How did this lengthy thing answer her question?

Questions like this are answered with stas and numbers because data doesn't lie. It has nothing to do with the civil war stories.

BTW, I understand that many Igbos carry a lot of hurt due to the civil war. However, you must learn to question everything you were told.

If NNPC refused to drill crude oil in Imo and Abia to keep the South East economy unproductive, why is the same NNPC investing millions of dollars in a JV with Seplat to build the biggest gas company in Nigeria, ANOH Gas plant, in Imo State?

By the way, I am a proud Igbo guy, but questions like this should be answered with 13% derivative sharing formula data to show states whose petrollars are used to feed the entire country.

Help me sent it to her that
1. Igbos are one of the most intelligent species of humans on earth today. We have proven that outside Nigeria.
The best asset to any nation is the human capital. Israel is an example.

2. We have oil too and if properly used can help the economy of the region. From Imo to Abia down to Anambra there is oil.

3. And the BIG ONE IS HUGE GAS DEPOSIT ( the future of energy). We have 70% of Nigeria's 210 trillion ctf reserve gas deposit.

4. A rare mineral Astatinite. Very huge deposit in Amaigbo, lmo State valued at about 900 billion dollars.

5. Our ladies are great. That's why you find them married from SS to SW , North to Middle Belt.

I rest my case

I served in the inner part of the north where u can never find one yoruba man and any other tribe other than the Bush Fulani men. And do u know who is helping them to deliver their babies, attend to their pregnancy needs.

The igbo man and his wife.

The first Pharmacy in Bunza is a owned by a igbo man,the mechanic workshop's are owned by igbos. The gen parts are owned by the same igbos.

I saw these things first hand in 2009/2010.

May God forgive u for lying.
