Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu is the Beginning and End of Biafra. If you claim you want Biafra you must in the same breathe want Ojukwu. If you long for Biafra you must long for Ojukwu.

Biafra was the creation and invention of Ojukwu, there is no other Ojukwu and there is no Biafra without Ojukwu

To believe in Biafra without Ojukwu is a fatality because a creator is always greater than his creation.

Ojukwu never gave up on Biafra but he believed in a Biafra within Nigeria, A Biafra that would exist within Nigeria were Ibo's would be safe.

Ojukwu's vision of Biafra 2.0 was Ibos investing heavily in the South East and doing business or working around Nigeria and around the World and investing little in terms of infrastructure in those places outside the South East. His reasoning was simply if There was any ethnic conflict or strife in those areas it would be easier for Ndigbo to pack their bags and head back home for safety. This was his vision for Biafra 2.0 , stay at home, invest at home, travel out make money invest at home.

What more can anyone ask for

When I see people clamoring for Biafra without even mentioning Ojukwu's name and his ideas for Biafra I simply know these are people who lack history and therefore lack foresight.

Ojukwu took the Ibo's out of Nigeria to prevent a genocide of the Ibo's. He prevented a genocide. It was not an emotional war but a strategic war to prevent Ibo's been slaughtered and exterminated.

The legendary British writer Frederick Foresight was a Great Admirer of Ojukwu so much so he published two books in Ojukwu's honor. Ojukwu is respected among the elite around the world. You must be very young not to understand that the Federal Government wanted to bury him . They wanted to bury him because deep down they respected what he did. Look at how Boko Haram and terrorists are having a field day. Do you think Ojukwu would have been scared of Boko Haram ?.A man that fought the full might of the Federal government . Bro take it easy, I hate to tell you this but Ojukwu was born in Northern Nigeria and spent time in the North. You said he praised his enemies, I guess you mean when he said" Awolowo was the best President Nigeria never had ". Let me be honest with you as a Yoruba man I rank Ojukwu Above Awolowo. The Only Nigerians on his level are Gani Fawehinmi and Fela Kuti.

Ojukwu proved he never hated Nigeria by coming back to Nigeria and running for office. He married in Abuja. While alot of Ndigbo harbour hatred for Nigeria it's amazing Ojukwu had no hatred for Nigeria. This is his legacy. That you can fight a War and move on. Did the igbos really lose the war ? Or was the war a strategy to avoid Genocide ? Look at how Hitler dealt with the Jews. Look at how Palestinians are being dealt with. If you refuse to fight you will be destroyed.

You seem to have trouble reading. Ojukwu spoke of Biafra 2.0 which was for Ndigbo to invest massively in the South East, if they wanted to travel out, travel out and make money and invest back in the East. Don't build massive structures outside igboland that can be confiscated for any reason.

It's Biafra 2.0 that alot of Ndigbo don't even understand. As Jesus said a prophet is without honor in his own home town. One day when you are older you will learn the only way to stop genocide is to fight a war. You miss the point all the time. Ojukwu was born in Nigeria. He went back to his home. He had to come back to Nigeria because Igboland is in Nigeria. He was born in Northern Nigeria and grew up there. The fact that he said do not invest too much outside igboland proves his head was well on his shoulders. It's like investing in Nairaland there was a time when it was not a good idea to spend too much time in Nairaland because Nairaland could ban you for any reason. Since Nairaland has cooled down and is banning less people who really liked Nairaland will come back to Nairaland. The banning drove so many people away but since Nairaland has cold down we can chill. So when Nigeria cold down Ojukwu came back and he was not afraid to go to the North
