Yes in Festac. Communal living serves you well later in life. You experience all tribes, religions, faith and culture. Though things are different now, but it's recommended.

Some environment hold people back in life and this is one of them.

I once lived in one of such places. I never intended to stay more than 6 months until I secure a better apartment because of the money I was spending in hotel accommodation for over one month, so I decided to take it as temporary shelter while I start to look out for a tastefully furnished apartment in the GRA as I was posted to this location from the North.

I brought my SUV weeks later from my house in Abuja and all hell was let loose. The car that never had problems before then became a regular customer in the mechanic garage. To cut the long story short, I sold it under a year and 3 months stay there. I couldn't even leave the place because whenever I save money to leave, there will be one wahala or another that will take the money. Also, I seem to be the only one doing well among over 42 tenants. Meanwhile, house owners live there (a mistake that i wont repeat in life).

I finally broke the curse after four years of unintended stay there by borrowing almost 2m to get another apartment and move. Surprisingly I paid back that money within 2 weeks even before I moved out. How I got that money to pay back remains a mystery.

Some places are haunted by unseen forces. The picture you posted is one of those places as you can see poverty displayed all over the place

Rather than pool money for a paint job, they’ll complain that the government abandoned them. It’s the mindset which kills people, not the reality on ground.
