Wike: That Officer Deserves A National Award - Oseni Rufai by Celebrityblog(op): 3:09pm On Nov 12, 2025
That officer deserves a national award. Calm, firm, and collected while Wike was busy behaving like a TikTok skit maker.

Wike called him a fool, and the soldier simply replied, “I’m not a fool, sir. I have integrity.”
That line alone finished the argument. You could almost hear sense leaving Wike’s body.
When wisdom failed, Wike switched to the big man script: “You were in primary school when I graduated.”

That’s their emergency line when logic no longer works. The same playbook Umahi used on Rufai Oseni.
Age has become their last remaining certificate.
The man stood tall, kept his men in order, and showed what real discipline looks like.
In that moment, Wike went low and the officer went high. Power met principle. One was shouting “Do you know who I am?” The other was quietly showing who he truly is. AAA

I concur. Anything that will make the self acclaimed emperor to cry is welcome

The same people who have turned pro wike and anti-military were the same ones back in 2015 saying they can't wait for military men to pull President Jonathan out of aso rock and whip him with koboko.
Re: Wike: That Officer Deserves A National Award - Oseni Rufai by SixSeven:
That's a dangerous slope we are going on. This is a test of popularity, unintended by the military. Be careful Nigerian politicians, the people are not on your side in this democracy because if you, the elected, supposedly with the people's mandate are thrown under the bus, and they are clapping for the military instead of you that was acting with the people's mandate, what do you think will happen when..... lipsrsealed

What Nigerians are hailing is not necessarily the military, but how they keep to order, even if what they may be doing itself is wrong (assuming they are against the law). What democracy offers is the rule of law but it has been abused and injustice pervades the air.
SixSeven:
For the Military to post that image yesterday in indirect support of the man, it says a lot. I think the political class are getting carried away. Given the recent coup attempts and Trump's invasion (which makes them look like cowards who have been compromised - go back to the politicians and interference with national security), it will be foolhardy to ignore the current sentiments. People are condemning the young ones who are hailing the soldiers but what it means is that the political class don't have the support of the people and if there is a coup, we will see how no one will stress themselves and welcome back the military thereby throwing away all the hard work for democracy.

If they really love democracy, they better behave themselves. Endsars sentiment is still there and these are young people. There is a growing discontent in the continent and the young people do not have this attachment to 93 or before. They really don't care. What they see in front of them is their reality and they don't care about consequences so if we love the democracy, we better let it work well. Look at the Boko Haram issue, You have Bandits who are forgiven and put in the army. Who is happy about that? They want to act but they are helpless because they respect democracy, Na those who democracy benefit no respect am. The political class should tread softly. Even Trump, in the past, you would have expected all of us to say no but because of how the government has handled the matter, people don't even care about any resources, they want to gladly welcome foreign intervention because the people at the helm of affairs are no better. Again, politicians be very careful.
I just want to remind the old folks. Someone born in 2000 is now 25. They never lived in 1993, 1976 or 1967. All those years to them are HISTORY. The one they are living in now is their reality. Don't think they will understand how things were in the past or the consequences of what happened in the past like you lived through. Please be very careful. Show good examples through your age so they can have something to look forward to. Again, they have internet that has exposed them so they can see how things are in other places or how things should be and you are denying them. Old folks should be careful. Forget this age thing and respect your age by showing good examples.

The military coup plotters in 66-67 were in their 20s. The Premiers were in their 50s. Young people have nothing to lose compared to you that have lived younger. Act wisely.

That's even true. Wike called him a fool. He replied Wike, saying, I am not a fool. I have integrity!

He simply implied that Wike and integrity cannot share the same sentence because he's a man of questionable character grin

Finally here comes what I wanted to hear!

The officer should be given double promotion with standing ovation ASAP! He should be made a 6 star general ASAP!

If Nigeria was working, wike ought to have resigned by now amidst this saga or be fired by the president with immediate effect

If wike was a good politician people would definitely not be happy with the soldier. It's because he's wicked that's why people are happy

Indeed, Wike called him a fool, and the soldier simply replied, “I’m not a fool, sir. I have integrity.”

True to type, the same guy who was caught driving on the wrong lane.....in his own defense he said, "I will call the governor"
Do you know who I am?

Like Rufai is a shinning example of good judgment and obeying rules and regulations.
Re: Wike: That Officer Deserves A National Award - Oseni Rufai by GiftAbia1: 3:45pm On Nov 12, 2025
I just pray nothing happens to the officer's job.

If it was igbo or southern they will coded retire and arrest him.

But if he is a northern, nothing will be done because BAT wants North support for 2027. Useless country.

Though I commend the officer for holding his integrity.

Even with the insults Wike was raining on him the officer was still professional and respectful.

Can Wike's lawyer son with that his big head show respect to his father's mate like the officer in that kinda situation?
