Did you notice how that police officer, who by age is not the lieutenant’s mate, shut his mouth when the lieutenant warned him? The policeman shut his mouth. Maybe he instantly remembers his family and did not want stray bullets to touch him. Wike too was making that frantic call and the young man was not moved. Na Wike finally move after the shouting!

Many are in support of the so called officer not minding the truth of the matter. If approved plan of the project isn't legit or granted, the officer or anyone he stands in for are simply in the wrong. But the bandwagon on social media are simply after the fct minister.

Only a court can prove that there was no approval. Not even Wike. Wike’s position is to present evidence in court . He has no authority to intimidate or verbally abuse any one.
There are official guidelines to request for those documents from a land owner. Not by shouting, that is gross misconduct and abuse of office.
If for any reason the land owner fails to comply, then there next official course of action should follow in the legal path.
Democracy is not an excuse for impunity and misconduct.

That's a dangerous slope we are going on. This is a test of popularity, unintended by the military. Be careful Nigerian politicians, the people are not on your side in this democracy because if you, the elected, supposedly with the people's mandate are thrown under the bus, and they are clapping for the military instead of you that was acting with the people's mandate, what do you think will happen when.....

What Nigerians are hailing is not necessarily the military, but how they keep to order, even if what they may be doing itself is wrong (assuming they are against the law). What democracy offers is the rule of law but it has been abused and injustice pervades the air.



I just want to remind the old folks. Someone born in 2000 is now 25. They never lived in 1993, 1976 or 1967. All those years to them are HISTORY. The one they are living in now is their reality. That Retired Naval Officer simply does not possess the required approval for construction on that site...

Instead of using his soldiers to bully and intimidate FCTA officials, he should have contacted Wike one on one ...

And he would have gotten the needed approval for that land if he acquired it legally...

If we allow this nonsense to continue, then everyone will now be seeking or asking for military men to guard their land against FCTA officials even when they got the land illegally or don't have the building approval..
