The officer was too disciplined for the CDS to have even not given an order for him to stand down

This is where the DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM got us to. The bigmanism that thrives in disorderliness and anyhow behaviour. Do you remember how KWAM 1 was calling who knows who while he was on the tarmac? Just as KWAM 1 almost put his life in danger for something not worth his life, Wike could have got himself injured for a fight below his status.

The Nigerian elites are a disgraceful bunch. They demand respect but don't behave themselves properly. They lack finesse, abuse protocol and are insecure.

Do you know who I am? So he expected a phone call to stand the order down? Did they give him the directive through Wike's mobile phone? It just shows you how disorganized the FCTA itself is.

And after the calls, soldier still stood his ground.

That was when Wike knew that this one don chop morale from CDS. Lol

Some questions that I ponder on in view of this military/civilian conflict are:

1.........Did anyone compel these soldiers to join the military?...Why the excessive anger and disgust towards civilians?

2......Are they working for free so that Nigerians owe them so much?...They get paid while their bosses have almost equal access as top politicians to the Nation's treasury ....So what exactly is the reason for the sense of entitlement and feeling that they are above the law of the land?

3.......If they demand these extreme respect because they die defending the country, what then should accrue to the thousands who have died due to the failure of the country's security architecture?....We should worship those ones as gods and prophets then?...Isn't everyone at risk of dying in this country as it is presently anyway?...

4....While these soldiers have security in numbers and availability of ammunition to fight insurgents, ordinary Nigerians have mostly only their guts and instincts to protect them from the same criminals ....in fact some people in remote areas, long distance drivers and travellers are at risk of facing these criminals without any armed colleagues or ammo to back them up...Are these people also to demand exception from the laws of the land because they are brave enough to face criminals even unarmed?

Lastly, this "a General is always a General" talk, what law backs it up?...If it is true, what law is a retired General subject to then?...Civil law or martial law?...if he is subject to martial law, how then can be labelled "Retired" and not sent to war like his mates?....If he is subject to only civil law after retirement, how then is he still a General?...and if he is retired and still a General, what and which soldiers is he commanding, and to where exactly is he doing so?

What exactly is going on in this Country ?

All these people dey see steady alerts of millions wuna dey dey talk about power, moral, control.

The military institution would be very proud of this officer

Lol. What was Wike thinking? That the CDS will order the officer to leave the site in contravention of the orders they received from their superior and his erstwhile superior, Vice Admiral Gambo? The current CDS has saluted Gambo more times than he can count. Wike's embarrassment has gone international and the U.S is gauging our weakness and seeing the faultlines.

CDS understands the tenet of operation. He cannot give him a contrary order.

Wike is unlucky this time around because that land in question belongs to a fulani person by origin.

If that land belongs to an Igbo man the story will be totally different.

If Wike can read between the line from words of minister of defence, which I biliv Tinubu told him to convey, in other to douse the tensions.


He should be tread with caution going forward

Elites and politicians that we expect to repair the image of the country’s are instead damaging it by their erratic attitudes.
They are further clarifying that you can’t amount to anything and respected until you know somebody at the top

If the military can do this to Wike, how much more will they handle other civilians like most od us.
As long as the military is concerned, a civilian remains a bloody civilian.
No respect.
