That Retired Naval Officer simply does not possess the required approval for construction on that site...

Instead of using his soldiers to bully and intimidate FCTA officials, he should have contacted Wike one on one ...

And he would have gotten the needed approval for that land if he acquired it legally...

If we allow this nonsense to continue, then everyone will now be seeking or asking for military men to guard their land against FCTA officials even when they got the land illegally or don't have the building approval..

Wike Simply instructed his men to go there and ask the developers to produce their approval documents or stop the work. (The same thing is done in every city all over Nigeria)

When they got there they were met with military men and Wike was informed about it. That was why he came to see for himself what was happening on ground..

He got information from FCTA officials at the site that military men have taken over the land and would not allow them do their job or even present approval documents for the ongoing work.

The place of the military remains the barracks and Warfronts..
