Though, he is no longer with us in his physical body, but his spirit is with us and we will continue to defend his legacies.

The man who fought Awolowo tooth and nails to ensure that the option to cede out of Nigeria is removed from the constitution because he is eyeing the development in south west compared to south east and he never wanted the south west to one day leave Nigeria which would mean go back to you Anambra but instead it is after many years of trying to catch up with south west to no avail his grand children wants out thinking they could have a fraudulent country of their own and still remain in south west but as Zebudia would say that is foul foul foul....

Zik used his influence to sway the majority who shut down the opinion.

After that, Awolowo again wrote to the the Governor General but the governor still rejected it on the on the grounds that majority led by Zik rejected it.

In fact, it's because of Zik that secession was made a reasonable offense, it's because of Zik that section (86) was inserted into the Nigerian constitution.

The British returned back home in 1960, but you that they forced into the colonial project, now need secession clause before you can leave a union that was not your making?

Oh my good God of heaven bless you bro. I have posted this same information here on number of occassion that Zik was the first betrayer in Nigeria govt history but instead for my people to reason and dumped sentiment they absorbed Zik and chose to be firing missiles on other tribe.

A man whose parents were igbo but with Benin ties. Born in Zungeru northern Nigeria, studied overseas at a very young age , grew up in the western part of Nigeria and started his political career as an avowed nationalist. Zik candidly saw all Nigerians as human beings.

Never was he accused of tribalism. Never encouraged genocide against any ethnic group. Refused to call the NPC to form the government after the general elections of 1964 were rigged beyond imagination especially in South West. Disagreed with Ojukwu on principles and set the tone for national politics that was based on solid Pan Africanism..

A lot of people think that he made a mistake by not being an ethnic jingoist. But they forget that by taking the high road and setting the bar high, he raised the tone of political discuss in the country. Those who chose to swim in the gutter of tribalism and sectionalism were the ones who took the bar down into the latrine. History has always remembered them for that infamy!

And yes, it was after Awolowo covered Ziks political campaigns from his perch on a tree for a local newspaper, that he got motivated to enter politics. (Don't argue with me, read Awolowos autobiography). In essence, maybe if there was no Zik, there might be no Awolowo..

Think about that for a minute..

THE MAN THAT KEPT US IN THIS UGLY MESS! WITH HIS ONE NIGERIA!.....AHMADU BELLO DIDN'T WANT THE NORTH TO JOIN NIGERIA IN INDEPENDENCE AS A COUNTRY, BUT HE INSISTED THE NORTH MUST JOIN.... INDEPENDENCE THAT SUPPOSED TO BE IN 1957 WAS POSTPONED TO 1960. BECAUSE ZIK WANTED THE NORTH TO BE READY, NOW LOOK AT THE CONSEQUENCES OF THAT DECISION TODAY!!
