Engines with high performance rarely make loud noise. You can be standing by a car with a high performance engine and your won't hear much noise even when the car is on motion. ... You can also hear a caterpillar making so much noise from the engine and when it is time to accelerate, Baba will struggle to climb third mainland bridge.. |

low engines are most times the weakest, the noise are some times the result of wear and tear in the engine compartments |
| Re: Loud Engines Don’t Guarantee Strength by Dpaulie(m): 6:22pm On Nov 25, 2025 |
An empty vessel makes a louder noise, if not a sport cars... I believe when engine makes a louder noise than usual, it's been reduced in performance |

SlavaUkraini:Not true. Don't be deceived by the conservative japmobiles. Italian stables make delightful ponies that gallop stoutly and sing like the famous classical tenors. Then the Aston's of the UK, the muscle cars of the US.... And of course most things AMG.. |

Quiet engine means crap performance because they focus on efficiency than raw performance. Noisier engines means higher torque, higher rpms, higher horsepower....It's a no brainer. |

| Re: Loud Engines Don’t Guarantee Strength by kuntash: 8:53pm On Nov 25, 2025 |
iichidodo:Thanks for nipping it squarely, what tames the noise of an internal combustion engines are the mufflers or silencers and the way they are designed, it tends to restrict power , and in so doing reduces their overall capacity or output. |

| Re: Loud Engines Don’t Guarantee Strength by efeteb: 10:10pm On Nov 25, 2025 |
In engineering, every sound you hear in an engine is a loss of Energy. That is why the efficiency of an Engine can never be 100%. Though designers can deliberately make an engine to be loud, but something must compensate for that loudness and it's usually your fuel. |
