Hello everyone. Please, is it possible for the visa to be approved before my travel date on 26th December? I’ve already booked and paid for my flight to the UK for my NMC UK OSCE exam, which is scheduled for 25 February 2026. I’ve also paid for my visa fee (Standard), and I plan to schedule my biometrics appointment for next week, 4th December. |

Trendie247:Visa approval dates depend also on what you filled on your form as travel date. Usually if it is far away, visa will start 1 week before that date you put on your application form as date of ENTRY. |

Dear Joe, Thank you for your question, the UK have about 6 different visa categories which is sub divided into roughly 40 different visa types. They also have different conditions of stay. So, the most important question is what is the intention and the purpose of the travel ?! Good luck. Joeboypondeck: |

Hello house. I need some guidances. I am in the UK on a fully funded PhD funding. I want to apply for my spouse to join me soon. My question is, my monthly funds based on my offer letter is 1,731 much in the excess of the UKVI living expenses of 1,171 per month. I would like to know if it's possible to use my offer letter as proof of funds for my spouse and only proof the extra amount using a proof of funds? |

1 What documents does someone need to accompany two children to a VFS biometrics appointment when the children’s parents are abroad, given that the children are not his own? 2 . What supporting document will he go with for the biometrics. |

Nairae:In the UK the responsible adult is usually named on the child’s form as the person who would be accompanying the minor for their appointment. On all visa applications and biometrics in the UK for a UK visa application this is the norm. No other person can turn up with the kids except the person named as the responsible adult. They also must bring a physical ID in. Accepted ones are international passport, drivers licence, residence permit cards. For Nigeria, I note they are not strict. However as an adult escorting minors in this age, carry a physical ID, letter of consent and biological parents ID copy. You must also know the date of births of the children by heart as you are required to look at the camera and state this information during the biometrics. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 12:10pm On Nov 27, 2025 |
anselmvictor:There is no such thing as UK renewal. You apply as normal. There is no special form. Same standard visit form. You choose the duration you want and pay and complete all biometrics processing. |

Good afternoon house, my wife got this refusal email yesterday but what the ECO wrote as reason for the refusal is total different what is in her application. She was employed in an organisation and we submitted 6 month payslip, employment letter, promotion letter, leave approval letter and also recommendation letter from her work place as well and she have a personal business as well. Though she use one account to receive salary and run her personal business as well the 1,000,040 the visa officer stated as her annual income from self employed is her salary payment from her work place where she work. They didn't see or look at the employment part at all and it was written there that no right for appeal is there any ways to complain this issue because we submitted all the document for her personal business including business registration certificate CAC, invoices and all the documents from her work place where she was employed as well the boss work own the organisation live in uk and personally wrote an invitation letter.

Trust2021:But this is contradictory. Why did she say she has not worked in any of the above organization? or was there a list of jobs on the form for this particular question? If she has no previous work experience aside the ones listed, she should have filled not applicable there . Aside this, there are other discrepancies with the financial statement as regards the income and expenses that was filled on the form. You need to work on that |
