jedisco:Lol @ the bolded because the irony is only a few pages back, you were accused of being detached from reality yourself. I guess everyone's reality is different. |

jedisco:I didn't know the bolded. I didn't even check his profile as I usually do before engaging someone. Having checked it now, I see that that was a silly error on my part. |

You see, the problem with many of you is that when someone posts something, you dont respond based on what was said, but how that post made you feel... I remember vividly (the old posts are still there for those who have time to waste to check) the context and the origin of how the P word got into the conversation with J.... last year It was more of how MAGA perceived Indian MAGA and how they are deluded to that But just like some of u have done here, instead of responding based on what was said, the response was how the post made you feel, and the response was off tangent Then i doubled down and used the word p... to describe who they actually describe as that Now ask him Everything that j said would happen hasn't it happened? white supremacists will always see them as the p word and be treated as such All that yarns about H1B How market ? Who are the ones constituting nuisance by carrying placards upandan? ![]() The way some of you read my post here and assumed i am boasting that I am better than others ![]() everybody go dey aii last last After we all talk here we will still go and face reality outside And the reality will smack us all in the face until we FIRST acknowledge wetin dey, and then work towards turning the tide for the better |

WE ARE NOT INCREASING TAXES FOR WORKING PEOPLE. ALL WE ARE DOING IS WE ARE ASKING WORKING PEOPLE TO CONTRIBUTE A LITTLE MORE. IF WORKING PEOPLE CONTRIBUTE MORE, WE CAN USE THE CONTRIBUTIONS TO LIFT THE CHILDREN OF NON/PARTIALLY WORKING PEOPLE OUT OF POVERTY. |

ReesheesuKnack:But the rich also have to pay a little more too. relative to their vast wealth The Duke of Westminster tax avoidance is still a big scandal 😳 |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Zahra29: 2:35pm On Dec 01, 2025 |
ReesheesuKnack:And the plot thickens as they're now being accused of misleading Cabinet and the public by claiming there was a £20bn black hole, when it has been revealed that the truth was that there was actually a surplus! - something to be celebrated, but instead they continued with the black hole narrative to raise income tax and other taxes further in order to boost their fiscal headroom and spend money on lifting the 2 child benefit cap. A noble cause perhaps, but they probably should just have been honest and explained why they couldn't give tax cuts despite the surplus. The consequence is that trust has been further eroded and their doom and gloom rhetoric in the budget run-up has inflicted a lot of damage on market confidence. Well at least the good news is that the UK is not (as) broke as we feared 😂 |

The economy is actually worse. Please see chart below. Without inflation, tax receipts were actually worse than before. This is why despite the increase in tax receipts, most people are considerably poorer (via fiscal drag). When you add job losses, business closures, and productivity numbers, it is a whole lot worse. £41 billion pounds in tax receipts for each of the last 2 fiscal years has been solely from fiscal drag. Remove that and the receipts are down. It is painful and hurtful because of what it has done to business and investments. Zahra29:

A quick one If you know you have never contributed positively to this forum, I mean, gave out vital tips or info that could help Boris wave set of immigrants, COS groups etc But all of sudden have decided to disturb this peaceful forum with riff-raff brouh haha Please just maintain your ghost mode reading, we don't need to be reminded that the UK government and people like YOU want us to be sent back home. Stop disguising with the use of big grammar pointing out people driving with expired MOT, blah blah... they are not worthy to be in YOUR UK country. It's only COS seekers that commits that offence? How did you even conclude at this? Perhaps you visited the entire prisons in the UK and saw only COS seekers as prisoners (Nigerians and Indians). Yes, the country should have been free of offences and crime if not the COS seekers causing nuisance everywhere even at the bus stops. No worries, it's a matter of time.... you can never be more British than us, Today they want to revoke ILR holders, tomorrow they would wish to apply the same with passport holders then in the future they revoke immigrants of 3 generations backward - their great granny arrived in the UK You speak english grammar tire when e go touch everyone, you think you and your kids have succeeded baa? Ask Nigeria how bokoharam, fulani herdsmen and bandits started spreading... from core north to now every geopolitical region... Everyone dey collect... Congrats to those of us that made it here, Whether by merit, system error or by trial you foresaw what was coming and you escaped that country Nigeria. Don't let people discourage you, be optimistic and positive Again stay away from crime! |

oluwaleokey:Oh please just save it What is the nexus between what has been discussed so far and this drivel you just posted up there ? Who is advocating for anyone to be "sent home" based on what has been written so far by a plethora of respondents here ? Is your comprehension skills so deficient that you cannot decipher the simple message being passed? or the origin of how the discussion started and how it led to this point? If you feel so attacked by what has been said so far, maybe you aptly fit the description and you need to do something about your situation, so you dont get triggered anytime someone posts anything Its the same way broke people, WHO FEEL INSECURE ABOUT THEIR FINANCIAL SITUATION become poets, composing book of lamentations anywhere they see discussions about "brokeness" Because I have taken a second look at this concoction that was typed as I quote, and I am wondering where ANYONE claimed ownership of the UK, this is insecurities manifesting under the mask of being "bravado" No worry, the riff raffs should continue in their riff raffery, ko si werey, when the ramifications that come from such begin to manifest, na una go stull cry blood Again, just like i have said before, you guys are reacting based on HOW the posts some people made here made you feel, not about the content of the post There was a recent BBC documentary about the "booming essay industries" in Africa (specifically Kenya as their reference) where African students are outsourcing their assignments to those "back home" to do it for them And while I feel that documentary shouldn't have been done, the pervasiveness and how endemic that thing is was just too disgraceful to see, but it is behaviour that we tacitly endorse, because we think "we are smart" That goes for Africans AND South Asians Tomorrow when some bigoted President Buhari fellow say you have a "mickey mouse 🐭 degree" ; una go dey paara. No worry , e go clear for una eye |

RodgersAkpafu:1. Did you actually watch/listen to that program beyond the headline? Because if it is this one, you'll have seen that the vast majority of the clients those Kenyan writers work for are actually foreigners, many from the UK, and this has been the case for decades so it has nothing to do with your 'low quality recent migrants.' Unless it's another program/report, anyway, in which case can you kindly share it? https://theworld.org/stories/2020/01/24/kenya-large-market-1-billion-global-contract-cheating-industry https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-58465189 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w3ct1xzx 2. Has it ever crossed your mind that how you write and engage with people depicts very clearly that you are a prime example of the riff-raff you speak of so much? Small thing and you're using slurs and playground insults, accusing people of being unintelligent and whatnot. I'm sure your response will be that you are merely frank, direct etc a la Badenough but I assure you it is possible to be all those things without sounding like you're arguing at a beer parlor. I know you claim to work at a university so I'd suggest you show your posts like this last one to someone educated there and ask whether they think you are a riff-raff based on how you sound. I'm not a gambling man but that's one bet I would make an exception for. |

RodgersAkpafu:Oga Landlord I know you paid your school fees completely straight from Nigeria coz your level of English na 2nd to none. No matter how deficient my comprehension or brain antenna is, i can discern when one is writing out of the abundant of heart. You dont want them to be sent back? So you want the riff raff to stay back? Huh? Atleast i know you are not standing with us. Just leave it at this From the tone of your writing, one can discern your intentions and motives. You only share the negative narratives and documentaries by BBC. UN,CNN, LTV, GTB, CCTV, FGN, NTA.... I aptly fit the description? So? I should be banned from posting or commenting here join in addition to the immigration policies? I still await sth positive to come out from your side about immigrants. Thank you |

@Goodn Has it ever crossed your mind that how you write and engage with people depicts very clearly that you are a prime example of the riff-raff you speak of so much Maybe you are right, I MAY fit the description I MIGHT. be a riff raff, or have riff raff tendencies But its for others to judge, not me because no one admits to being a riff raff. even the riff raff ![]() So if you ask me, my answer will be no, but an objective assessment of me may prove otherwise BUT That doesn't negate the point(s) I made As for the documentary part, I never claimed that it was ONLY Africans that are into it, riff raffs come in all shapes and colours, and is not exclusive to nationality Its just that some countries have more riff raffs per capita than others, and 5 countries have exported a huge proportion of theirs overseas And we all know the groups that have been patronising them at higher per capita rates than others You meet some Indian "students" and they cannot even express themselves to you when asking for requests, and you begin to wonder how did this one get here At least in this one, we do better than them ON AVERAGE You try engaging them in the "field" they supposedly studied and u wonder.... HOW? No be riff raff? Its a broad and multidimensional topic, and even u know wetin dey sup, because from the tone of your messaging, you know werin dey ground, but you are one of those "save face" guys and I get WHY, but I am not in that camp And yeah, I really admire Kemi "Badenough" lol Cos she says it as it is, she no dey look face |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by RodgersAkpafu: 1:49pm On Dec 02, 2025 |
@oluwaleok I shouldn't have told you to "save it" I take that one back My bad That said, you judged wrongly, I am not for anyone being "kicked out" I am more of let us do all we can to not STICK OUT or get a reputation That was why I was proud of the NIUK ppl (I dont say this all the time) when reports of three separate incidents of Nigerians "doing minors" and the other goat who "did" the resident he was caring for, there was widespread unanimous condemnation and outcry, so that that reputation doesnt stick If the Pakistani community did same when the whole grooming wahala bursted, instead of deflecting , maybe they wouldnt have gotten that unsavoury tag stamped on them (you know the tag) So when we keep doing this, our names wont be tied to those who "do" those things IF we from the beginning did same with 419, we won't be branded that either, yet just like how PKs were explaining away their own, our own people dey explain away that one too We really need to work on our collective image thingy because it affects US ALL. But if we don't, and we dont call out the riff raffs in our midst, its only a matter of time before we get the Indians in Canada treatment here, which i dont pray for |

RodgersAkpafu:We all know the truth but we always want to be politically correct or justify bad stuff to prove points forgetting that large scale of anyhowness by Nigerians sometimes. Lots of people outsourced school stuff, some did not even come to class etc I mean, look at the nonsense in the screenshot shared. We can start from unnecessary cho cho cho and its why the ones in Canada were vehemently against that Doc on Twitter some days ago. ![]()
