Okay.

My last question.
Sorry for disturbing.

I understand your take on not being rich with government job except cutting corners. Okay.

But i thought government pension is the best and its steady?
The poorest people in Nigeria are the masses and most govt workers.

There is no one whose pensions is adequate for him or her after retirement.

I pity those who depend on their pension.

They will all cry,if they dont start planning now. Most govt workers are deeply indebted to loan companies just to survive. They now collect loan for everything including house rent.

If u retire today as a level 14 officer in the federal ministry or some parastatal,ur take home after 34years may not be upto 16 to 17million maximum. And painfully, many workers do not know this.

This whole money includes ur pension,ur gratuity and whatever u think.

Funny enough,I can make this money in three months and why should I remain in the job?

I sat down and asked myself series of questions and many other questions I may not put up here.
Those question has to do with the following:

*Pay...
*Retirement.
*My life after retirement.
*I don't want to steal nor falsify things to make money in the office.
*The future of my children, knowing they can't inherit my job from me.

Yesterday,I went out to formalised my company name and started the process of getting my licence before the end of this month. I have got a place to be used as my office.

I have equally told my wife to resign from her banking work so that,we can put heads together and drive our dreams ahead. She agreed!

My brother,my side incomes has grown tremendously and now is the time to quit and focus on my future and dreams of making it very big.

I am working on a lot now,and I know I will do well more than I am doing now.

A lot is on my mind now.

I hope u will understand me. Entrepreneurship is the way forward...and without it,many govt workers would cry before retirement.

Most only earn income to feed and not to save and invest these days.
Wow,good initiative from you sir......keep going higher and wish you all the best.

This is very impressive and motivating. Please, can you share any business idea you know can give this return as you mentioned or less but at least okay for a side business for people like me to learn from, even if it's a skill. Thank you

Guess what?
After few months of the downess..I actually earned more than my salary from the business as dreamed. First time ever that's happened in my career

The entrepreneur journey touch but pays..

I'll recommend any dreamer out there to try something outside the box anytime

Dalohad:
E good like that.

I am sure you didn't even inform the employer on notice that you were leaving. You just left without caring if it affects the company negatively or not.

If you even told them and they tried to convince you to stay back, so they can get a replacement or train another staff on the job, you would think you were a superman and they wanted to enslave you. I guess you were listening to motivational speakers telling you that salaried job is slavery.

You romanticised about your business ideas without proper judgement and found out the hard way.

I have had employees like you. Some even shamelessly come back begging for their jobs.

Una go learn the hard way, this Gen-Z generation.

Good for you..

However, always ensure you notify your employer that you want to leave, so that the transition can be done smoothly.

Now that you are business owner, you will also have to taste the bitter medicine of having your employees leave without notice and you will know how it feels.

From the way you write you will be an arrogant and wicked manager. You are talking as if you have never made mistake in your life. You pay peanut and you want them to slave for you forever. Why do start your own business instead of working for someone? Mumu man
I am business owner, and I also work for an American Institute as an employee. Nobody is enslaving you..

If you must leave, give notice.

Pure and simple.
