Here is what's vexing my spirit.
In fact make I use pidgin Yan my mind....
Abeg house make una help judge this marraz , am a kind of person that keeps to himself I cut my coat according to my available material o. I'm not broke o ,,but am not too comfortable either . So I dey mange and calculate my self Wella. Whenever i call few of my acquaintance or friends, it's usually to ask after their wellbeing, encourage, and vibe .
Oh Lord have mercy 🙏
But whenever I see their call, o Jehovah shamma'
it's usually for a request or one kind of nonsense billing like that.
(O boi me self they get challenge but I dey lock up carry my cross )
It's getting really worrisome, like am beginning to lose interest in people cus' they all looking like one big vampire to me.

Your problem could be that you find it hard to say no to people.

Treat yourself better and people will have no choice but to conduct themselves accordingly around you. Place major boundaries to protect your peace. No!* has to come easy to you.

Some people are like animals and if they find a pool of resources then they will use it dry. They will not appreciate and in time become entitled to it.
Change this narrative you tell yourself about how you want to help others and make people feel good blah blah blah (who send you?)

Learn to say no. Some people be saving to build their houses, children school fees and other enjoyment purposes while taking advantage of the good ones by collecting from them.
Same people will make jest of their helper by saying he/she didn't plan properly.

Recently I found out one of them just did roofing on his new house.

The problem with we humans is that we don't like the simple solution to our problems. We believe our problems are so big that we need some kind of complex solutions to solve them.

OP, they have already given you the solution but it seems you are looking for one complex answer before you are satisfied. Learn to say NO. Make a plan for yourself and you can decide how much you are willing to spend on charity. So if anyone calls you for any need, you give from what you can afford without problems. Once that charity fund runs out don't give anybody 1 Naira no matter how they beg and cry to you.

Learn to plan and strategize your finances and build a future for yourself bcuz if they guys run you dry and succeed in sending back to the village to once again start hunting for pawpaw and coco yam that will be the end of the calls you are receiving.

And one on last advice (you can choose to not listen to this one if you please) reduce how much you call people and relatives in the name of checking up on them. It has a way of making people see you finish, learn to call those who you believe have you at heart and not looking for ways to bill you.

Trying to just be in touch with people now is feeling more like a subscription than connection.

Two days back, I sent second payment, to avoid long talk, I immediately post the receipt to her WhatsApp, she viewed it and lock up, not even thank you.


Even if them put gun for my head, I no dey send shi shi again, it's not like I don't have hundreds of problems of my own already...



Finally I blame this APC government, the number of people that calls to Bill rose from 10% to 900% within the past 5 years. Make God punish you say you dey abroad..

Na so I use vex and stopped picking up calls, I didn’t even send anyone.
I was very sick and spending money on medications plus my children on my neck no one even cared for me,, that’s when I knew oyo is my case.
Right now I don’t even care what anyone says about me, it’s my my money, my sweat, I owe nobody any apology.
Since I stopped picking up calls, everyone is still fine and bubbling

Change your circle of friends OP , if your still trying to find your feet as a man you should be friends with people who has found theirs already.
