Hello, guys. Please my 2002 RAV4 revvs at about 4000rpms at about 100km/h or 60mph. I did some research and I learnt it should be around 2500rpm at 100km/h. Even to a novice like me I can tell it shouldn't be revving that high at that speed because it makes a noticeable sound.
What could be the issue please?

Faulty ECM that affectd the transmission or knock sensor is my bet here.
But scan and share codes let's assist in solving this.

I use Acura MDX 2008, i noticed my transmission jerks when i change from 'P' to 'D', also it gives a little nod/jerk when downshifting after you slow down. No fault codes related to transmission after scanning. Changed transmission oil(Original) ATF & all the engine & transmission seats, with complete shafts(both side) yet problem persist. Though the Car shifts very well. What could be the problem & solution.

The trouble codes P1888 and P1887 in your 2008 Honda City point towards a problem with the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) and potentially the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Here's a breakdown of the codes and possible solutions:

Error Codes:

P1888: This code indicates a malfunction in the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) circuit. The VSS transmits data on the car's speed to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) which is crucial for various functions like engine control and transmission operation.
P1887: This code signifies an inconsistency in the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) input signal. This could be due to a faulty sensor itself, wiring issues, or problems within the ABS system.
Possible Causes:

Faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS): The VSS is a common culprit for these codes. It might be malfunctioning due to wear and tear, internal damage, or buildup of debris.
Wiring Issues: Damaged or faulty wiring between the VSS and the ECU could disrupt the signal transmission.
ABS System Malfunction: In some cases, problems within the ABS system can cause inconsistencies in the VSS signal and trigger these codes.
Solutions:

Inspect the VSS: A mechanic can visually inspect the VSS for any signs of damage or debris. They can also test the sensor with a diagnostic tool to confirm its functionality.
Replace the VSS: If the sensor is faulty, replacing it with a new one should resolve the issue.
Check the Wiring: A mechanic can inspect the wiring harness for any cuts, breaks, or corrosion that might be affecting the signal. Repairing or replacing damaged wires might be necessary.

Diagnose the ABS System: If there are underlying problems within the ABS system itself, a more comprehensive diagnosis by a qualified mechanic is needed.
If after all these is done and you still have an issue visit your vehicle specialist...or get connected to one on www.requestmechanic.com, click on request now circled in red 🙏

You may have bought a faulty gear. Revert back to the dealer if he would listen. I'm afraid it's back to square one if an imminent solution hasn't been found, you may have to buy another gear.

Who can help me repair Toyota Corolla 2004 transmissions? The mechanic who initially worked on it said it was the valve body, but the problem is still happening. After driving for a while, and stopping at a traffic light, it becomes difficult to shift out of first gear and accelerate. The engine revs loudly without fully engaging. But as soon as it enter gear 2 it engages smoothly until I slow down and have to engage again from 1. I'm in Abuja

You can't be sure. A torque converter can't be repaired those years Corolla, Yaris, matrix (2003-2013) are known to have torque converter issues.

The mechanic who said it's spoilt knows what he saw or checked and hence his conclusions. Let him do his job. His business is to ensure your transmission is in good working condition.

Hello people. I drive a 2006 Honda accord 4 plug. The transmission suddenly rev high then forcefully shift from gear 1 to 2nd gear with a loud sound. When stuck in traffic it won't move until i off the engine remove the key then start the vehicle again. Once it moves to 2nd gear , every other gear select smoothly. The check engine lights stays on when the slipping occurs. Note prior to this , no check engine. The D also blinks. Have scanned the vehicle. Here is the P1734, P0780. The oil is wine in color. I serviced the transmission with original Dw1 last 2years cus i rarely drive the car.

I use a Nissan primera saloon 2005 model, it's automatic and uses CVT transmission. I discovered vehicle drags after driving for 30 minutes or at most 1 hour steady drive, expecially when I slow down a bit . The vehicle has to cool down for another 1 hour before it will move normally. I have changed the gear box oil , but the issue persist. please is there any one here with a real solution to this issue?
Bro I swear I'm battling the same issue

good evening house. please i really need an urgent assistance as per my matrix 2005 model. i just observed last week that the car make GBI/ jack/knack sound while changing gear on motion, or if you want to move the gear from P to Reverse or Drive,
the first mechanic i visited said it was engine seat and i changed it yet no solution. the gear is selecting normally. i took it to an electrician. he scanned it and the car did not throw any code except thermostat code 0016.

The way this my gear wahala, na to come find you for this port harcourt, Autowiz. I've spent almost 300k on my 2003 Honda accord EOD, still having blinking D light, delayed entering to gear 1, hard and delayed shifting on all 5 the gears. I can't travel with this car now, just managing it.

They've brought it down at Ikokwu, and worked on it, yet still having wahala. I've changed solenoid A and B, even the gear switch, yet same issues. The current scan is showing P0756 and P0780 codes.

They are saying I have to bring it down again to work on the solenoids inside and I am hesitant to do that again after all the money and time spent on it I know this gearbox is still very intact cos all the oils changed on it were still good and nothing burnt inside.

I need help seriously...
