Honestly, I think marriage is just straight-up luck. If things work out for you, awesome, but if you draw the short straw, forget it no amount of planning, talking, or feeling strongly will save you from a bad partner. In fact, she might even look at all your effort and think you're desperate or soft. There are so many guys who did everything right (Mr Right) and were super prepared to be the perfect husband, only to get slapped with a divorce or even paternity fraud. It's a real roll of the dice. You have to learn about it but never imagine it will guarantee a good marriage.

Yes we Guys keep complaining about this day in day out but we never seem to learn. When the money comes, we share the money. We spend on people who won't add any value to our lives and impress people who are just there to ruin us.

MY EXPERIENCE
There is the girl I was dating when I was I secondary school some 10years ago. I really loved this girl with all my heart (she is a nairalander and I know she would know herself once she reads this story, I don't mind). After leaving school and gaining admission into the university, we lost the vibe and only stayed casual friends. I got admission 2 years before she got admission into her own university (lautech).
Fast forward to her year of service and coincidentally she was posted to the state where I worked. Coincidentally, I got a multi-million naira contract. Life was good!
We started our relationship over again. I made sure she enjoyed my little money. We were even talking about marriage and life after her service. Then disaster struck. I entered a business agreement with a collegue and contributed all my savings into the deal. The new contract we were pursuing never come through. This girl's warm reduced immediately. Within a month she came up with the excuse of having a boy friend she was engaged to. Later learnt the guy had just gotten a good job.
Interestingly, I had a Neighbour, also a single lady who sold shoes and stuff. She was all nice to me when the money was flowing. All of a sudden she stopped asking after me.

Now I got my juice back and she is all nice again.

It is a FACT, women are calculating, they look for the greenest pasture. You got money? You got their heart.

Spend your money on your family and close guy friends, they will be there for you in your down time.

To the women, you may think you are smart, but you lose in the end. I have at least 4 ladies who think they are my girlfriends. They all abandoned their poor boyfriends to be in relationship with me. Guess what. I only use them. Can't count how many I have had in the last one year. You won't command any respect from a rich guy once he knows why you are in relationship with him. It's amazing how easily ladies with boyfriends abandon their guys for richer ones.

To my guys, you don't even have to spend. Just show you got money. They will do anything and cry at the end that you are stingy. Laugh and move on to the next gold digger

They keep seeing topics like this and forming voltron, all na wash, they will never change. Forget all the feminist comments you see here, in real life they cry and beg rich dudes to keep their relationship, all because of money

It's because of need for steady and uninterrupted sex, need for romance( oxytocin induced love), loneliness creating a need for companionship and societal with religious pressures make men act emotionally against their interest, logically and pragmatically asides raising kids in a functioning home there is no tangible benefit for marriage

If Nigeria women had the government welfare, good economy, favourable government policies like the west, I can bet marriage and child birth would drop below replacement level but because of poverty they have to adapt to the societal and religious constraints against their inmate nature of unfettered hypergamy where they only select the best of the best , the top 20% of wealth and status for marriage and top 20% of physical attractiveness, since they make their own money, but in Africa it's either hookup or marriage to alleviate from poverty

Well, about sex - I will tell you your chances of getting good mind blowing sex is higher being single than married. Talking from experience. So I wonder why poor men will want to run into marriage that won't gaurantee good sex unlike if they are single and free.
The only logical thing I can think of why men want marriage desperately is due to Loneliness.
When you have options in life like the average woman, running into marriage that will cut that off won't look encouraging nor interesting.
Reason 80% of divorces are initiated by women because they know there will always be toasters into their late 50s provided they look okay.
But for a man, the opposite is the case.
A man can stay for a year without anyone calling him, sends credit or data, no happy birthday wishes nor gifts.
Just silence

This scarcity triggers fear and a man will be ready to settle down at the little slight of opportunity when he sees a woman that will atleast listen to him.
It is a different ball game to men who have resources and constantly been showered with love and sex

If you want to be cold, fine. No problem. I am cold too... when I have to be. However, don't let bitter feelings consume you.

Men with some cash or a living at least will always get someone to Bleep or have babies with, whether single mom, divorcee or whatever.
