Okigwe has been a ghost town for over 2 years. That's the main area where gentle de yahoo operated. All the residents deserted the community. I have seen the videos severally from different people
I recall a thread here with video link from YT of a world press conference held in Lagos that was convened by Orsu people lamenting what they had been going through under IPOB goons led by Gentle.

One of the elderly men even broke into tears half way through his speech outlining the violence, rapes, arson , robberies , kidnappings and murders committed by Gentle's penal brigade that was composed of fugitives of the law and escape convicts.

You need to see how the IPOB goon squad here began insulting the men in that video that they were a fake group commissioned by the then Buhari govt to smear IPOB and claimed Orsu is safe and t the same time blaming whatever is happening on DSS, Nigerian Army and Fulani bandits.

There's no hope for a people who thrive in self deciet.

If they prefer the illusion of painting their SE as an Eldarado when it is sinking and burning in criminality and terrorism , how do you expect security to improve if the same people are defending their criminals who are teerorising and targetting them in the guise of liberating them from Nigeria and Fulani boggeymen?

Even the ones who know the truth are too cowardly to cry out knowing their homes and families back in the SE will be targeted.

Everything about IPOB is rooted in lies and every ibo person must subscribe to these lies or face the wrath of the terrorists and their mob supporters.

People are responsible for crimes so rate of crimes committed are compared to existing populations to get a true picture on the prevelance of crime.

With one of the lowest resident populations, SE had comparatively a higher crime rate compared to every other region.

I know you understand me clearly and are trying to play dumb on how comparative analysis between various populations are carried out.

For example :

If ten people generate Ten million naira to share equally, that will be one million per person.

If 20 share same 10 million, that will be 500k per person.

Now tell me , between the 10 person population and that with 20, which population got the highest individual share and which population is richer?

Black Americans are only 13% of the total US population but they commit 40% of all violent crimes making them the highest over represented prison population.

Now if Black Americans were a majority in the US , its only natural that crime rates and incarceration of black Americans will increase.

You are either a dense door stopper or you are just being mishevious.

Take this to your AI:

Outline total crime records per region and resident population and tell it to generate a comparative analysis of the most crime ridden region.

Here are the statistical data and a referenced table showing which region in Nigeria is most peaceful based on reported crime incidence from the Crime Experience and Security Perception Survey (CESPS) 2024 by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) — the most recent comprehensive national crime data available:

📊 Crime Incidence by Geopolitical Zone — CESPS 2024 (May 2023–April 2024)

Geopolitical Zone Estimated Total Crime Incidents (Households)

South-East (SE) ≈ 6,176,031 — lowest in Nigeria
South-West (SW) ≈ 6,900,000
South-South (SS) ≈ 7,700,000
North-East (NE) ≈ 7,900,000
North-Central (NC) ≈ 8,800,000
North-West (NW) ≈ 14,400,000 — highest in Nigeria

Sources: National Bureau of Statistics’ CESPS 2024 data reporting crime incidents by zone.

📌 Key Points from the Statistics

✅ South-East recorded the lowest number of crime incidents among all six regions — about 6.2 million cases, making it the most peaceful region in Nigeria by this metric.

✅ By contrast, the North-West recorded the highest crime incidents at around 14.4 million, indicating the least peaceful region by incidence count.

✅ These figures represent reported household crime experiences, which include incidents like robbery, theft, and other criminal acts covered by the survey.

📌 Important Notes on Interpretation

These statistics measure total crime incidents, not crime rates per capita. Because each region has different population sizes, per-capita rates can shift the ranking if adjusted for population.

Other analyses (e.g., violence fatalities per 100,000 population from NigeriaWatch) sometimes identify most peaceful states differently based on death rates rather than incident counts — for example, Gombe and Cross River report among the lowest fatalities per 100 k in some analyses.

📊 Summary

✅ Most peaceful region (by reported crime incidence): South-East geopolitical zone (≈ 6.2 million incidents) — lowest overall crime count in Nigeria.

❗ Other peace/security indices (e.g., fatalities or kidnapping numbers) may give different state-level peace rankings, but the South-East consistently shows lower crime incident totals in the latest NBS household survey.
Reality and statistics are in dispute here.
For each distant you travel in the SE,there is a checkpoint just because of the chronic insecurity there according to most Igbo analysts and intersociety NGO based in the SE says the insecurity in the SE is mind boggling due to the killings there. They didn't even report the ones ipob unknown gunmen killed.

The human rights organization, the International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety), has reported that over 32,300 civilians were killed in Nigeria's South East region by security forces and jihadist groups between August 2015 and December 2024.
Intersociety's reports break down the fatalities into two main categories:
Approximately 9,800 people killed due to jihadist violence in the region.
Approximately 10,500 unarmed citizens killed by Nigerian armed forces personnel, allegedly targeted based on ethnic and religious grounds.
A separate report covering the period of October 2020 to December 2021 estimated that at least 2,400 unarmed civilians lost their lives to security forces and jihadists, including at least 1,000 missing persons who are presumed dead.

But AI is a neutral tool and will only give you the right answers when you ask the right question.

You cannot discuss crime, without considering the population, as this will help you to understand the frequency of occurency of such crime and give you a picture of how safe the place is.

Below is from the same AI(copilot) when you ask the right question.

Ranking by Crime Rate per Million

North Central – 37.5 (highest per capita risk)

North East – 30.3

North West – 24.6

South East – 21.5

South South – 18.4

South West – 16.0 (lowest per capita risk)

Now let me point out that different AI are trained on sometimes different Data, and there may be slight variations in the result, but the trend generaly will be the same

The per capita calculation is wrong. NIN data puts NW at three times the population of SE. Voter registration data is the same. SW is 2.5 times, NE is like 1.7 times or so. The AI is wrong. With data publicly available and if the crime stat is right then SE has the highest crime rate

Stop making a fool of yourself on this forum. Go and get proper education first.

The CESPS figures from the NBS you are fighting with are incident counts they are not crime rates. They are not the same, conflating the two exposes your illiteracy angry

You even don't understand your own 10 million example as it relates to the NBS statistics.
Wether 10 people generate and share 10 million or 20 people share 10 million. The total is still 10 million.

In the same way, the CESPS data report total crime incidents by region, not crime rates. Population size does not alter the fact that one region recorded fewer incidents in absolute terms.

In statistics rates answer a different question entirely. Stop confusing yourself!

Total Resident Population ÷ Incidence Reports = Crime rate.

You are the one who needs a proper education

Now divide SE resident population by Incidence report of crimes and you will see that SE had a 30% rate which translates to 1 in 3 people in the SE are prone to be victims of a violent crime.

Do that for the NE and see it drop to 15% which is 1 in 6 people being prone to being victims.

At 30% compared to 15%, SE had a 100% higher rate of crime prevalence than the Boko NE.

So that says that SE is the most crime ridden zone.
