Yoro is a fine defender and he’d probably play better than Heaven in CCB. Sadly, Amorim uses him in a way that exposes him to his flaw which is marking runners and quick wingers/covering space in a RCB role which seems like playing RB in the heat of the game this is why Sulemana of Southampton cooked him earlier this year and he struggled to mark Roger’s from the flank against West Ham

The culprit is Amorim whom haven’t been playing to his strength which is at the centre

That is a fair point but they all can’t play centrally and he still needs to do better.

At this point I don’t think we need him but it all depends on how Lacey develops over the next 6 months.

We already have Amad and Mbeumo as senior players on that side. I don’t think we can develop 2 young players of the same age in the same position at the same time.

It’s still too early to wright Cunha off but someone need to sit him down and force him to watch a montage of his ball-hogging and selfish plays.

He is skilful, has decent speed, and a very good ball carrier but he spoils it by holding on to the ball for too long.

That's the only thing wrong with his game. Selfishness. If he can fix that he'll excel.

First of all, they're different profiles. One is a winger, the other is not. Gordon is not the solution we need .

We played a bottom half of the table game which suits him well. This is similar to a good AWB performance.

We had 34% of possession at home and ground out a 1-0 win. That is the formula for teams fighting in the bottom half of the league because it does not offer longterm hopes of league domination.

Also no player plays rubbish all the time. Trying to ascribe his good performance to some newly unlocked potential is the road to perdition.

It has nothing to do with Bruno but more to do with the way we played. Once again, trying to draw overarching conclusions from a single game is the road to perdition.

Forget this single performance and just think of Ugarte’s skillset. He lacks the basic skills needed to play in a top team. There is no other player in any top team in Europe who is as uncomfortable on the ball as Ugarte. That is not a coincidence.

Kone just came back from a long term injury and is probably just working himself into good condition.
As a CM he has good potential but is behind the Fletcher boys in terms of physical development for now.

Its clear you dont watch him regularly. 1 open play goal in the league since January. Very frustrating player. He would be killed if he played for us. He's not even as good as Garnacho.

McTominay and Rasmus are playing at a slower-paced and lower quality league. There are countless cases of players moving leagues and suddenly looking different. Gyokeres does not look the same player despite playing for the top team in the EPL. If he moves to Serie A don't be surprised if he starts bullying them as well. In the particular case of McTominay and Rasmus, their single major flaw which is a loose touch are not punished as much in the Serie A. They might not be as bad as they showed with us but there is no world in which McTominay wins EPL Player of The Year while playing for any club in England.

Secondly, the major issue with your view is that it absolves the player of any responsibility at all and places blame squarely on the coach's shoulders. Not all flaws can be improved by coaching if the player is just not up to the task. If not, everybody will be Messi or CR7 and coaches like Pep and Fergie will never offload underperforming players, but they do. When a player lacks the basic technical skills there is little a manager can do. Pep can't turn AWB to Dani Alves.

Lastly, Heaven is 19 and Ugarte is 24. 5 solid years difference. You can't use Heaven's trajectory to judge Ugarte. Despite that, Heavan has already shown more ability than Ugarte in his little time here.

LOL. Not only everything is due to formation. Change of formation won’t improve his decision making or make him less selfish.

Because it is not a technical or physical issue but a mentality issue I think it is still more amenable to fixing. This can be fixed by the coach addressing it on the training pitch and during film study (if they do that kind of thing).
