If you meet a Jehovah witness call him christian and listen carefully to his response.

She didn't die because of not taking blood transfusion (please get your facts straight). Blood transfusion is a choice not religion indicted.
She was stable even after rejecting the transfusion so Weda she take the blood or not, wetin for sup go sup.

Her refusal to be transfused stalled the treatment plan which resulted in her death. Chemotherapy depletes blood cells and in some situations, requires transfusion for the treatment to be completed

Judges will not just involve themselves unless invited.

You know many of them hear few stories of those who rejected blood transfusion and still managed to live but never took time to understand that it’d 1 out of many.

The person is probably a minor. Every adult has the right to decide the type of treatment they prefer.

Would the blood transfusion have reversed the cancer?

How long would it have put away the end result of the cancer?

Would it have been best she goes against her conscience especially as she has the full knowledge of her chances, and still die?

All of us would die, irrespective of our efforts, but how will die - the state of our spiritual life - matters.

Being realistic means living without self deceit!

At least is a better way to die than disobeying what the Bible clearly warn you against. Better than all those people that their religion tell to go and kill non faith members. Is far better you kill yourself than killing others in the name of God. And who told you she will not eventually die if she took the blood then....we have seen thousands of such cases.

Not religion. It's Christianity.

The Dr need to be arrested. her life belong to the state. When she declined they would have get court injunction to transfuse the blood she cannot just kill herself because of religion believe. She would have approach churches instead of hospital if she want to choose which treatment should be administered to her. Doctor's are all aware of the implications

I don’t subscribe to JW’s doctrine against blood transfusion, in fact I’ve written against it on this same nairaland but ascribing someone suffering from cancer’s death to her refusal to accept blood transfusion is not correct!

It's a sad situation.

Nigerian hospitals do not have doctors who can perform some invasive surgery or robotic surgeries that require less blood loss. Or we have but no equipment for that.
Also, food that cancer patients eat matters. Cancer feed on sugar. Some people have reversed their cancer by overhauling what they eat. Depending on the stage though but most times patients know early.

Going off sugary food and carb reverse lots of them. Sugar is like fuel to any cancer growth.

Deny the body sugar in any form and top that with fasting. Constant intermittent and days of fasting, the body heals itself.

Its likened to planting yam. The yam decays and new one grows out from the dead yam. Involves lots of process. In Nigeria, our medical team do no research no create medical awareness. Aside aproko Dr on youtube picking bits here and there to teach Nigerians some basic, even Nigerian govt does nothing. And Nigerians will rather argue politics, hail rich people than use same energy research for what will help them in their health journey.

Religion is not our problem, it is how we approach it that's the problem. I have left a lot of churches because I don't believe in their way of worship. Na you go use your head and ensure what's being preaches is Bible based. The Bible talked about Jesus sharing the Samaritan Story with us, how the Samaritan took someone to the hospital and their treatment was sponsored. I believe in divine healing don't get me wrong, but going the extreme is what I don't believe in

You said it all, the problems come from the founders of so-called denominations, mostly, many of them incorporated their lifestyle into church doctrines, they want their followers to be behaving almost the same way, they are behaving. .....want congregants to copy their own lifestyle bumber to bumper, they forget, God created us in different way and that, we are having different challenges of life.
( You don't have abuse in your marry, while, one of members, having abuses, yet you compelled him/her to endure, until he/she killed or depressed)

Oga jehovah witness is not only in Nigeria. A jehovah witness in U.S and other developed country will refuse blood transfusion. Religion is a world problem not Nigeria problem!!

I doubt if you know, patients have right to reject not only blood, but any medication, that want to be administered unto him/her by doctor globally.

Doctor's have power to go ahead and transfuse the blood if they discovered your life is at risk do your findings. That is why if you have HIV aid Dr can go ahead disclose your health history to your partner failure to do that such Dr can get life in prison

So someone died based off her belief, she didn't kill anyone or harm anyone. Her decision led to her death, HER DEATH.

You are now using that as an opportunity to justify some of the things that Islamic extremists have done in order to hit cheap shots. To your last question, if it was so easy for people to become suicide bombers based off what their pastors say. Why haven't we seen a single incident?

At least a transfusion would give her a fighting chance. Imagine adding anemia to your fight against cancer. Odds would be stacked up against her
