On another note, middle and I tried out Jamaican beef patties today. I made the dough, middle made the filling and we both assembled some. Taste 8/10, texture 9/10, presentation 🥴/10. 😆

I was watching a culinary adventure program on Gotv and they showed this Jamaican family that have been running this shop where they make meat pie, sorry, Jamaican beef patties for generations in America. So I was like: 'no be meat pie be this?'

Lollll they are cousins. We eat a lot of Jamaican food because my husband is Jamaican. The meat definitely tastes nothin like a meat pie though, and the crust is light and flaky not dense like meat pie. Both are good but I'm team patty🫣 middle says she didn't use all the dough so we can make four chicken patties tomorrow😄
