Person wey claim he hasn't been to that road, how will he know what's happening on the road. Double standard, double mouth people.

Just open mouth and judge what they've not experienced.

Brothers, who has the number of a good AC tech. The quack I have used thus far is foolish to say the least. Everytime he touches my compressor area, the serpentine belt makes the car make noise and after yesterday, the noise became very loud and I can’t go to work with it.

I am trying to detect where my gas is leaking from.

That's a long read (phew!).
What an adventure.
You have had a taste of what drivers see on daily basis. smiley
Lagos experience is x3 of what you experienced in the hustle in your Benin city.
I must commend you for your earnings so far as a test-runner.
That means, if na Lagos you run am, you're fit to make more than x2 net with the same expenses.
Now, I read where you dey think of dumping ur salary work for e-hailing.
First, note that this is peak period nationwide. So, don't let it push you 'YET'.
Before you can decide on switching to e-hailing fully, wait till February next year, then run the hustle and see if you're truly ready to take that bold step. Don't use this December to judge the hustle, it's not new to us.
Myself as a case study, yeah, I dumped my salary work for e-hailing with my full chest, cos my friends who are not even as agile as I am dey show workings doing bolt/Uber full-time.
With e-hailing, wetin I don achieve, my salary work no fit do half of it till today.
But, come back to Lagos first and run the hustle when the peak is over, na there you go know if you fit run am.
I no know how much your salary is, but e sure me say e no plenty, as you don dey think of dumping it since e-hailing don serve you over 300k within a short period already. grin
Indrive is reigning in Lagos, might not be same over there because of fare prices, that's why you no dey see ride there.

Much respect, boss.
nice reviews ooo I am currently jobless Cheif was working on contract in a private open university when it wasn't renewed as at October this year... In desperation I have even paid 400k to buy a teaching job in Edo state which is a regret now... So I am thinking of learning how to drive getting documentation and going for the craft of e hailing... How do U see it

Not everyone is inclined to this japa shit, I have a project I'm working on that does not in anyway align with traveling for a greener pasture, I've already layed the project structure I only need side income stream to generate more fund to finance the project.

Everyone can japa base on their mindset, I'm seeing a golden opportunity in a country where most of my peers consider a deserted country.

If I can raise 7m for a car in this country I see no reason to japa to start from scratch in the a name of greener pasture. The land is greener here, it's just unfortunate that only few can see it.
Smh, to you japa is just greener pasture? Chai, no worry, make Nigeria no make you understand my comment later, Goodluck.

I don't expect this type of reply to his comment at all. The road is still under construction, and cars has been passing either way to get to there destination since there is no clear path yet for people to be taking but all of a sudden they just wake up one day and started arresting people for one way without any warnings or signs isn't that absurd to you?
Pls keep sentiments aside, when they officially partially opened it for Christmas, common sense suppose telll people say, this one don pass normal way wey we dey do b4.... There's no traffic, more people now, it's not a normal street road, this is a highway, wey people dey speed, everybody suppose dey dia lane without being told.... That road is a proper highway, there can't be many Uturns on it.

I am of the opinion that, if you are not going far ,you don't have any business on that road... and if you must use it, obey traffic laws.

U don't need a sign post to tell u that u are driving one-way on a dual carriage way. The last time I went to that Elegushi beach, I had to go and turn at a very far point to come back. Going back to VI too was same thing. People were passing one-way but I refused. Instead of passing one-way, I rather stay away from that axis and since then I haven't gone to that place again. For two years I have gone to Elegushi beach only twice.
If u put yourself in a situation to be extorted, u
shouldn't complain when the chickens come home to roost.
Avoid problems
I understand you are not regular on that axis. There are times the construction workers will barricade a whole section of the road that motorists can only get to some locations by driving through one-way.

What would you have done differently?

common bro don't talk about common sense here. When they open the road there is no even clear turning point for people to get to the other side it was later they started creating all this turning point. And when they opened it for Christmas self they are still working on some part that they divert us to other lane. So as at the point where they want to stop either way passing they need to inform people if truly the law is for order and not to extort

If it's making noise it means the compressor don pack up, it's grinding and you will need to revamp the system.
You may even need a new compressor and condenser for the AC to work again.

First, learn to make comments without insulting people, that is one thing we must learn on this thread, don't show arrogance in your comment.
I could have bottled what happened to me without posting it here. But I brought it here to save others. Stop making people look like a fool when then fall into traps.

If you're conversant with that road, first, it was Map that led us to the one way and there was police as the entrance of the supposed ones way who checked the car and also searched the passanger. The funny thing i had Early passed the same place 3 times before the extorted.

But anyway, make everyone Sha learn from other's ordeal. But please, make your comment without insulting people..

You come across as very un-empathetic. As long as you are in this country, and actively driving, It is just a matter of time before you become a victim of the intentional traps of these enforcement agents on the road

By the way, one will think life will be easier for female drivers on these e-hailing platforms but walahi na lie.

I've been going from Magodo to Sangotedo almost three times a week since October and I would always want to pick a passenger on indrive basically to atleast make up for fuel.
I swear, it's the most difficult thing to do ever. grin
The way these guys will outrightly refuse to hop in the car is almost funny and belittling. It's worse when the passengers are fellow women sef. grin

Back to back cancelation... na even now wey drivers no fit handle the available orders naim some dey begrudgingly agree to ride along.
This work na for men them.

I Always confirm too before I move, even though some riders get angry when I ask them this. Yesterday morning, I carried makeup artist and her crew from Somolu area. She and her equipment and her crew were going to Taiwo street in Ejigbo. I called to confirm. She said she hasn't been there before, but that i should follow map. I said okay.

I got to drop off point and when they called the person, they realized they were actually going to Taiwo street at Arepo (that's on the way to Mowe/Ibafo.) I pity them sha, but I dont normally go that far, so I just took them to a good location where they can get Uber and drove home.

It is always wise to ask where exactly the rider is going. In my case, the girl should have asked the person she was going to meet about the specific area they were going. If she did that, when I told her the area we're heading to is in ejigbo, she would have known before we moved that it's not the area she was suppose to go to.
I used to be one of the riders and patrons of dispatch riders who get angry when drivers ask me this question, but I got enlightened by you guys here and also got a first hand negative experience of it. My only annoyance is drivers that use your response as an opportunity to negotiate higher prices even if the app has recommended a fair price.

Let me start from just learning to drive.
Although, I always advise that people drive for a while before driving others.

However, if you're really committed, you can make it happen because everyone started one day.
But be really ready because Lagos will stress your mental health. If you go through the thread, you will see what we that have been in the business for years go through in Lagos.

Also, I always advise every man to know how to drive, it's very important, either for personal purpose or to work, as a man, you just have to be able to drive, so YES, please go and learn how to drive first.

Process your driver's license, and work on getting a car.

After all these, come back here for tips on how and where to start from a newbie's, I'm sure you'll get tips to get started.

Good luck🙏🙏

I don’t think so. The AC wasn’t cooling like before and I took it to the quack. After trying to loose the compressor and couldn’t , he tightened everything and the belt started making noise when put on drive or reverse.
