My uncle dyed October and was buried November.
During his burial we all wear white senator for the burial.

Now my cousin did wedding today
I decided to wear the same white senator we sewed for uncle burial.

This boy almost embarrass me but it happened indoors. Started yelling that why will I wear burial cloth fur his wedding??

Even his grooms man was telling me to fashi the matter but ever since I got home. I've been thinking about that incident

Normally, you did not do wrong with the clothes you wore to the occasion; no be say you carry the dead body enter the wedding. Items can bring back memories, the only thing i kept for myself and personal use among my late mum's things was the last plate she bought

I want to keep eating her food or remember her when i eat, when a girlfriend stole my things, i had to ask for that particular plate

Seeing u in that dress might make anyone in your family uncomfortable especially at the wedding of another family member


Its not like u commit a crime but in literature its called symbolism, i mean the association of the white dress with the funeral rite

People use to wear black at funerals, now some wear white especially at the wake keep

Why not red, blue, green or any colour?

Some items, rites, things and colours have been dedicated to particular rituals or activities

You were kind of wrong to wear that same dress you wore as a uniform at the funeral to the wedding, it could cause discomfort

You cousin took things far, it's irrelevant. Live your life, you no Kee person 📌💯. Personally, I don't wear burial uniforms, it's time for mourning and reflection of life.
I didn't wear during my dad's burial, I'm the first son. I still miss him 10years after. My step mom and uncle wanted telling me nonsense after the burial, I pocket them immediately because I didn't participate in their fashion show which I sensed .

There is absolutely nothing wrong in your dressing bro. Clothe is clothe. It was even a neutral colour, not as if it was ankara or any burial branded clothe to show your late uncle's face.
