Leyqute:If Mainoo is not injured, why is Amorim punishing him for the crime of his brother? Almost all british journos where questioning Amorim on not playing Mainoo, so his brother wearing the t-shirt was in reaction to that. I will hold the believe that Mainoo is indeed injured as reported by the club, but if he is not he should be sent on loan this January.. |

We have played against 10 man Everton, West Ham, Wolves and Leeds in the past weeks and only gotten 3 pts from a possible 12. We should be up the table competing for the EPL trophy, Amorim really has no excuse. |

Just watch Manchester City against Chelsea and tell me you are happy with how we play. |

INEOS are saints, at least they are not doing youth project, they can actually sign you decent player once in a while. The worse is BlueCo Leyqute: |

I really think Ineos is giving the fans what they wanted. I remember the whole conversation and demand for a structure in place with the said structure determining the style of football we want to play. We would only need a manager that will come in to play based on the players signed for him and the style to play. The only mistake they’ve made is to get someone like Amorim who is inflexible and is insisting on playing a particular formation. Amorim should stop moaning and whining about the concept of coach vs manager and start getting results by adapting. The 3-4-3/5-2-3 nonsense won’t take us anywhere. It’s mainly for mid and bottom table teams that want to have 5-6 defenders on the pitch. |

Amorim should roll up his sleeves and get to work pending when the job comes to an end. Whether he is the manager or coach of Manchester United is not important. What is important is for Amorim to understand that the board is NOT ready to give him any more money in January to buy new players so that he can play them out of their prefered positions while setting up an 8-1-1 formation against teams like Wolves. The end is apparently getting near. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaxOoxmUwws?si=xUTXg1n_D2w3Y4vR |

patrickmuf:This is exactly one of the reasons why I find it very difficult to forgive him for last season's 15th place finish. Our standards are now so low that convos around the EPL title seem like an abomination when in actual fact, victories at home vs lowly clubs like Wolves , Everton, West ham etc would have put us in the title race. And to think we didnt even have European Football distractions |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 10:09pm On Jan 04 |
nitrogen:You don’t think the “structure” goofed by appointing a philosophical coach who has a totally different football strategy/structure/system to what they thought they wanted and was very clear with them from day 1 about it? We know say you be Glazer and INEOS mouthpiece but softly softly. |

nitrogen:When "football gurus" Berrada ![]() Last season, coach open him mouth for interview tell them say him no get plan B tactics and them still see am as the right choice...after which we nearly go relegation. Hmmn |

LostMyZeal:•While some of your points might be valid regarding the lack of service to the lead CF, we cannot ignore the fact that these issues were obvious since last season. •Apparently, Hojlund (who was quite average) also suffered from this same lack of service, hence his preference/decision to Wrestle defenders for goalscoring opportunities instead. •Sesko's numbers, similar to Hojlund's, were not too impressive at his former club. Coupled with the hefty fees/circumstances surrounding his transfer, the decision to bring him onboard was always gonna be tricky,if we are to factor in the above listed points. •He should atleast try to be a bit more clinical in front of goal...even with the "few" chances that come his way. For a 73m CF, his misses are embarassing! |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 11:24pm On Jan 04 |
Leyqute:I don’t like Ineos at all, but to be honest, they have put in place the so called structure fans were craving for. I do agree that they got it wrong with manager appointment. I would assume that they thought they could get him to do their bid given he’s a young manager seeking professional progress or the well experienced CEO, director etc did tell him what they were looking to achieve irrespective of the 3-4-3 nonsense. But getting the wrong manager for a particular system and structure is a common issue across clubs. You realize it early and move on. Unfortunately, Amorim is a fish bone in their throats. Management does not want to follow the ‘sack and fire’ approach that most fans hate, hence the reason Amorim is still here. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 11:31pm On Jan 04 |
Jamiuokolaa:They underestimated the level of Amorim’s rigidity and cluelessness. I don’t buy the excuse of not adapting because you want to keep your philosophy. It’s absolutely stupid given the level of adaptability and flexibility required. The Portuguese league is number 6 in Europe. Rigidity might work in a low quality league but not in the number 1 league in the continent/ world. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 9:08am On Jan 05 |
nitrogen:Amorim is not a fish bone in their throats. They’re just cowards. If they want to sack him, they can easily do that. But they want to tell him how to do his job. They want to turn him into a puppet because of external pressure. And since he’s decided not to bend to their will , they’re leaking selective information to the press to make him look bad and add pressure on him. |

the board need to invest in some quality midfielders and forget all the balabu leak-games they are playing in the media. do they look at the squad at all? take a look at our bench on match days since the AFCON and even the starting eleven. it's been a monumental disgrace for a club this size. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 9:46am On Jan 05 |
Every party should do their job. It's an insult that what our squad is right about now. Even if everyone is available we do not have quality midfielders and we should be getting more this Jan. Amorim might have his problem but we need players. Man City wey tight are already locked in with Semenyo. Make everybody dey play. Amorim will not be here forever to blame. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Lana1(m): 9:58am On Jan 05 |
What even is this bench? This is poor squad planning at its finest. Only thing those people know how to do is buy a 70m striker that is not good every 2 years
