Some of you are just funny. People worried about how the board will react to this sack means they are Amorim fans? If una never start division una body no go rest. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 12:26pm On Jan 05 |
Leyqute:We've been getting worse with every sack but fans should not be worried. If you worry you are an Amorim lover. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 12:27pm On Jan 05 |
nitrogen:It was outburst that triggered the sack not the bad results? That’s more evidence of incompetency. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 12:27pm On Jan 05 |
Leyqute:Na those kind management I won take seriously 🤣 |

odizeey:They’ve ruined this club. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 12:29pm On Jan 05 |
odizeey:Bro, are you serious that we don't have the right tools this season? If we have all our players back like we have had for the most part of the season, do we look bad lined up in a 4-3-3? Amorim insisted on a formation that was supposed to ensure we were solid at the back but it was counter-productive yet he stuck with it. If Fletcher lines us up in a 4-3-3 like what I have below, we will make light work of most teams in the league... ....................................Lammens........................................... Dalot/Mazraoui..De Ligt/Maguire/Yoro...Licha/Shaw/Heaven...Dorgu/Shaw/Malacia Mainoo/Mount........Casemiro/Ugarte......Bruno/Zirkzee Mbeumo/Amad.........Sesko/Zirkzee.........Cunha/Mount Whilst I agree that the squad can be improved on, you can't argue that if properly set up and managed, they're few teams in the league with better squad depth and overall quality. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 12:29pm On Jan 05 |
Leyqute:Why are Chelsea, Barca and Madrid fans not tired of manager sackings? Even fans of bottom and mid table club don’t complain like this. Utd fans are just somehow. Maybe it’s ambivalence. I don’t know. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 12:32pm On Jan 05 |
patrickmuf:I don't want to argue. If you believe this squad is an EPL challenging squad then good for you. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 12:33pm On Jan 05 |
odizeey:You're just imagining things and running along with it. My post is clearly directed at those who are questioning the sack. There's no doubt that Amorim deserves to be shown the door... When can we have a discussion when the board announces his replacement and how they move in the transfer market... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 12:33pm On Jan 05 |
Leyqute:I'm telling you |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 12:33pm On Jan 05 |
larride:This Fletcher appointment na chess move. No be today them don dey plan am. They sha should not repeat the Ole mistake. Amorim’s recent outbursts now make sense. The guy must have seen the kurukere moves. LOL Let’s see how fast our injured players get back. Especially Mainoo. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 12:34pm On Jan 05 |
patrickmuf:Some are saying the poor results are due to squad planning etc. Na the board injure 5 key players? Who decided to play the same set of players without thinking about the implications of some of the starting 11 not available? What was the result when we had the full squad available? The current squad should be top 2/3 based on what’s happening in the league today. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 12:34pm On Jan 05 |
patrickmuf:I'm not moved by any sack or replacement. If you are not getting me a UCL or at least a serial winning manager, I don't want. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 12:36pm On Jan 05 |
Make Mainoo clean himself and redeem himself for World cup abeg. Rashford can come back and play substitute since Barca don't have money. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 12:36pm On Jan 05 |
odizeey:Who talked about EPL challenging here? The squad is clearly good enough to play better and pick up more points. We are out of the Carabao Cup, not playing in any continental competition yet we keep getting outplayed and outrun by teams who have European engagements to keep up with. No team with ambition will accept dropping points to Everton, Wolves, West Ham and Leeds in a space of a month or so... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 12:36pm On Jan 05 |
They’re interested in Kieran McKenna. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 12:37pm On Jan 05 |
patrickmuf:We are 6th. Same points with Chelsea so I don't know what you want this season with the squad you have since you said you don't want to challenge for title |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 12:39pm On Jan 05 |
nitrogen:That’s because they’re more experienced at squad building and planning. When last did you see these teams have just one competent player and 5 inexperienced academy kids on their bench for consecutive match days? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 12:39pm On Jan 05 |
nitrogen:Liverpool is having a poor season by their standards. Arsenal, City, Villa, Pool, and Chelsea all have European commitments, yet they are ahead of us on the table. We were knocked out of the Carabao cup by Grimsby Town in our first game of the competition, yet we are still below a struggling Chelsea and Liverpool... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 12:40pm On Jan 05 |
odizeey:Are you okay with the performances this season? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 12:41pm On Jan 05 |
odizeey:Na lie. Every United manager will be expected to challenge for the title. Even when we finished second with Ole and Mourinho, it was never enough. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Jamiuokolaa: 12:41pm On Jan 05 |
odizeey:For a team that crashed out early (and shamefully) in the Carabao Cup + no European commitments, the squad isnt too bad. I think the AFCON has not helped matters but again, the truth is that there have been too many unacceptable results and performances...ESPECIALLY AT OLD TRAFFORD! |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 12:42pm On Jan 05 |
patrickmuf:I'm not okay with the performance. |

No European football, less than 39% win rate. First time Utd went without a trophy. Abeg abeg, the experiment don do. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 12:44pm On Jan 05 |
odizeey:They are tunnel-vision people. With every sacking things appear to get worse. Even this interim appointment of Fletcher dey risky. He has been coaching for less than 6 months. The first thing I did when I hear the news was to go to check out points in the table to make sure say relegation no dey possible this season again. Like I always say, the sacking of a coach is not the main issue but the appointment of the replacement is where we stumble. We also need to improve in squid building. The only manager left that I have some hope in is Nagelsmann but he is another philosophy king. With the last 2 appointments those philosophers don dey scare me. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Trevor012(m): 12:44pm On Jan 05 |
Leyqute:No one can be worst than Amorim. It's not even possible. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 12:45pm On Jan 05 |
I remember when we used to argue here that spending was not the problem, but we were convinced that the management was the problem. INEOS brought in people with the right credentials to run the club but now, we are back to square one, you guys are now complaining that the very appointments you celebrated here have ruined the club...So Amorim was not the problem after all? This fan base is unique in itself... |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Trevor012(m): 12:46pm On Jan 05 |
CrystalTiger:Amorim was one the hottest coaches at Sporting. I don't think its anyone fault for hiring him. |
