I personally am not moved by sackings anymore. Until I see how the club is moving in terms of new manager appointments and squad building. The last 2 sackings (which were all richly deserved) have made us worse. We need to get the appointment after the sacking right. That is the crucial point being made.

With every sacking things appear to get worse. Even this interim appointment of Fletcher dey risky. He has been coaching for less than 6 months.

The first thing I did when I hear the news was to go to check out points in the table to make sure say relegation no dey possible this season again.

Like I always say, the sacking of a coach is not the main issue but the appointment of the replacement is where we stumble. We also need to improve in squid building.

The only manager left that I have some hope in is Nagelsmann but he is another philosophy king. With the last 2 appointments those philosophers don dey scare me.

We are very safe from relegation. Abi? Even without a coach, we should be able to get 10 points from the remaining 18 games. It’s probably why they placed another rookie in Fletcher to take charge.

I just went though the posts again. The only United fan that complained about the sacking was engrelvis. There was another poster who is a Chelshit fan who complained and was most likely trolling.

IMO we should stop derailing by manufacturing narratives out of nothing.

The board should not be unfortunate to bring in a Manager that doesn't place this style, no more nonsense possession, payout from the back, 3 at the back rubbish. Man Utd’s identity is not quick transition or whatever. It is WINNING. anything other than that and wahala dey always sup.

Do you remember Ole’s style? It was the same quick transition counter attacking football that you mentioned. But it was never enough to win games consistently.

Plus you can’t have one style of play in the premier league. As evidenced with Ole, other teams will set up exactly to counter that. SAF played possession football, quick transition and even borefests that ended in 1-0 victories— all just to win.

United fans, including you, don’t care about formation or 3 at the back or counter attack or whatever. We just need to win and win consistently. And several things have to be put in place to achieve that.

Things like this cant be happening and all we would be talking about is strengthening the squad

To be fair Amad will thrive tactically under any formation but yes those other players you mentioned will do well with a switch back to 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.

A few more academy players will get minutes this season for sure. His twins are actually in the way of some of our other potential prospects (Kone, Thwaites). He will probably do what any father will do. LOL

I am just hoping for a respectable showing until the end of the season. Then we reset in the summer.

Let’s wait and see. From the Under-18 games he seems to have a style of play that he prefers and coaches well AT THAT LEVEL.

Let’s just hope for respectable and reasonable results until the end of the season. And a bit of opportunity for fringe players to show if they have a future here or not.

Being an interim doesn’t stop him from being a lapdog for Wilcox and the owners, especially since he has no experience whatever.

The board’s job is to hire a manager and give him decent players and environment to work in, not try to coerce him into playing a certain style because of what they heard from pundits.

If he’s not getting the results you want, get rid of him. Simple. Don’t try to solve onfield problems for him or tell him how he should coach. It will only make the players undermine him and no one can survive in that kind of environment.

Most of you dont even know what you are saying. Ornstein said Fletcher is taking over in the next games and then we are hiring an interim manager. Fletcher is not the interim manager. It's just like Chelsea using their under21 coach until the hire someone.
