patrickmuf:Yeah. That's what will happen. But the default is Mbeumo starting. The good thing is that Amad can play in midfield. |

I understand that Garnacho "liked" Fabrizo Romano's Instagram post that Announced Amorim's sack ![]() |

Bombblacks:Amad is a versatile player. Him playing there will depend on the instructions. |

Jamiuokolaa:Surprisingly players only do this here.. I've never seen Garnacho's brother complain at Chelsea or any other player who left us because of playing time tantrum.. |

Jamiuokolaa:Thats the problem with buying players to suit a coach playing a weird system. Now team fit don sign player on 4yr contract and the next coach will ditch the 343 wing backs |

CrystalTiger:Haha..No o A few months ago, Vinicius jnr went berserk on Instagram after being subbed off. I think he even removed Madrid's badge from his page and replaced it with Brazil's. He later apologised, from what I gathered. I am not sure Sir Alex can successfully manage the current crop of footballers on show nowadays The media doesn't help matters too - journalists would always blow things out of proportion. It wasnt like this some 10-15 years ago |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Jamiuokolaa: 10:01pm On Jan 05 |
raumdeuter:I agree and this is squarely on Berrada and Wilcox. We also needed a proper winger on the LHS of our attack but we went for Cunha who is #10, just to suit a formation that is most likely going to be ditched soon. |

Mrviktor:How has he been faring since leaving man UTD? All this entitlement mentality from our so called legend is part of our problem.Gary Neville is always using his podcast on Sky sports to discredit coaches that comes.A man who doesn't v good coaching career dishing out instructions on how a team shud be coach.Yes Amorim has his fault but we are playing better than last season.Sixth on the table.Majority of our top players are either injured or at afcon yet we were able to get a win and two draws from our last three matches.Amorim having mouth diarrhea at a press conference is not enough to sack him.Y not wait till end of season then take yr decision.l sincerely hope this doesn't haunt us later |

Unpopular take from me. I understand Amorim has made many mistakes, including the rants against the board, but I think the board should share the blame. What they have done now is to use him to cover up their own shortcomings. Remember, these were the same people who extended ETH. Only in Manchester United you will see a board doing the bare minimum and acting as if they have done the most. We all knew from the beginning that this guy would struggle with his formation, especially if not backed fully, in a tough league like this. The fact that Amorim was contesting his job role, saying he was a manager and not a Coach, just confirms many things behind the scenes. Admittedly, he did not cover himself with much glory, but it is very very very ridiculous, to say the least, to have left him with that midfield from the start. Everyone knows that the midfield is the powerhouse of the team. Then, there’s a rumour that they refused to support him during the winter transfer window, after promising him. They contributed immensely to his downfall. We on Which sound manager will come in and trust them in the future? For a highly-sought-after set of people, their decision-making have been so abysmal. Good luck to Amorim! |

engrelvis:Some of you are ridiculous. A pundit hired to give his opinions on football should not call out a coach that has been terrible? Amorim should have been sacked since November. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Trevor012(m): 9:08am On Jan 06 |
metodman:All these are excuses. Amorim has been backed by the board both financial and with immense trust. Any other club he would have been sacked a long time ago. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 9:14am On Jan 06 |
metodman:Ahhhh. We have a squad that can beat wolves and west ham and everton. What does he want to strengthen the squad for? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 9:15am On Jan 06 |
Our squad is good enough. Only Man City and Arsenal have a better squad than us. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Trevor012(m): 9:18am On Jan 06 |
3 wins in our last 10games that includes Wolves, West ham, Leeds and ten men Everton. Dey suppose even flog Amorim before they sack am..... useless coach. |

Some people are already praying for the interim manager to fail to carry on with their agenda. You lie,I repeat you lie ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Yemike(m): 9:26am On Jan 06 |
Trevor012:Losing against 10 men Everton is just criminal. I've never been more disappointed in my life. He should have been sacked since then. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Jamiuokolaa: 9:42am On Jan 06*. Modified: 10:44am On Jan 06 |
Trevor012:The board stood by him after an abysmal 15th‑place finish, investing roughly £240 million in transfers + £50m upgrade in training facilities. Significant financial commitments, despite the absence of European football and the revenue it brings. Yet he still chose to lash out publicly and undermine the club. Emotional intelligence has never been Amorim’s strongest suit. He should go back to Casa Pia and be shouting at the club's president there |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by metodman(m): 9:44am On Jan 06 |
Trevor012:Read my post again. He didn’t do well and that’s for sure. However, we have this thing of blaming the sacked coach/manager for every thing. Already, they have started putting out stories on the things he did wrong during his era. Even Fergie made many questionable mistakes during his time. Personally, I think we must start looking at things holistically. Why are we changing managers every time? Who employed them in the first place? Didn’t they know he has got only one formation from the start? What was the agreement? I don’t wish us bad luck hey, however, I’m almost 100% sure the next manager will suffer same fate. I don’t support Amorim, but I think these INEOS guys are not better than the Glazers. They are making similar mistakes to Glazers. Amorim was never good enough for us, but the Board must also look inwards. They are certainly proving that they don’t know what they are doing. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by metodman(m): 9:46am On Jan 06 |
@Nitrogen, did your people promise Amorim some signings in January or not 🤣🤣🤣 |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 9:49am On Jan 06 |
metodman:This does not sound right. Moreso, the 3-4-3 formation suggests that very few midfielders are required, hence the reason for Ugarte and Maino (including Mount) on the bench. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nitrogen(m): 9:52am On Jan 06 |
metodman:Forget about the media talks and speculations. Plus, why do we need more signings this winter? After spending a lot in the summer. Don’t forget that some players are on loan and will be back by summer thereby complicating team selections. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Bombblacks: 10:35am On Jan 06 |
Asking for midfield signing in January is just being disingenuous. We all knew the plan was to get 4 to 3 new midfielders in the summer with Bruno and casemiro likely leaving plus even ugarte. Last summer was focused on the attack and goalkeeping position plus we would have added Baleba if the price was right even tho I am not a big fan of him ,the previous one was on defense and the upcoming one was going to be on midfield. The board was also keen on adding Semenyo to the team this January until he rejected us for City. Amorim just needed to be patient as it was clear the board really liked him. His tactically inflexibility was just his biggest weakness. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 11:13am On Jan 06 |
nitrogen:why do we need more signings?” After spending a lot last Summer, Man City will land Semenyo this winter. They are also going for Guehi following injuries to Ruben Dias and Gbardiol. Man City are second, United are 6th. Man City have a much bigger, stronger and more valuable squad. Who should be asking that question? The worst type of billionaire is an audio billionaire. After them na American billionaire. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Trevor012(m): 11:17am On Jan 06 |
Leyqute:Are you slow? Manchester city are also in the champions league which is bringing In revenue and are also playing in 4 competition. We have outspent them over the last two seasons as well despite no champions league money and finishing 15th. |

Some of una deserve flogging for the kind comments una dey drop here. Comments without any actual thought process. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 11:19am On Jan 06 |
Bombblacks:I don’t think it was wrong to ask for new midfielders in January. If your team seriously needs strengthening in a certain part of the pitch, and there’s an opportunity to fix the hole, you should go for it. But the manner in which the request is made and your reaction to the answer is very important. It is very wrong to air publicly private grievances, especially in the way that he did. Like most of their appointments, INEOS are learning on the job. |

[b] How Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United reign ended in turmoil and toxicity Tensions between Amorim and Wilcox came to a head in a heated meeting on Friday over tactics and transfers. Minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe wanted Amorim to switch from his preferred back three to a back four, as did Wilcox. The Glazer family, the club’s majority shareholders, had expressed disquiet at United’s results as long ago as August. David Gill, United’s former chief executive, questioned the wisdom of Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’ in a football board meeting. There was friction between Amorim and Christopher Vivell, United’s director of recruitment, over transfer policy. The head coach was involved in a training ground confrontation with defender Lisandro Martinez a few weeks ago. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under consideration to return as the club’s caretaker manager until the summer, with Jonny Evans also in contention to return to the coaching staff. -- Amorim, people at United would argue, was the catalyst, erupting when discussion turned to tactics and transfers. Amorim had sensed a creep onto his territory during recent weeks and the result has been described, by sources close to the club, as a “massive fall-out” between the pair. -- In their face-to-face meeting at Carrington, Wilcox suggested to Amorim that the players were struggling to gain trust in his 3-4-2-1 system and had become confused over his vision. Amorim would train the team in a back four, only for a back three to be selected in games. They also sensed he lacked faith in them due to his selections and public statements. -- Amorim responded that the players needed to be changed. Wilcox said he wanted to work through the issues, evolving the squad over time but sticking with Amorim. Amorim reacted by saying he wished to leave the club and would be calling his agent. -- The repercussions were so seismic that a meeting between Amorim and his squad, scheduled to take place afterwards, was cancelled. metodman:The rant would have made better sense of he did it before the start of the season, going into the new season with no proper midfield and wingback signing was very fullish of Amorim. Although it came late, he still earn my respect to speaking out about the poor recruitment. I dislike Yes Man Managers |
