alphonsojidebab:The foundations of good English start from very good primary schools NOT the University. The late music icon, Sunny Okosuns NEVER went beyond the primary school education yet he spoke fluent English. With parental guidance, Sunny Okosuns learned some vocational skills and then became a music star right from the early 1980s when I started listening to his iconic songs. The young man's (Pellar) spoken English isn't very good and sounds rough to the ears, BUT even as a young adult, WITHIN 1 year of hiring a good private English diction coach with a knowledge of phonetics, he'll get BETTER and it's good he identified that problem. Lol this one pain me sha. People dey laugh am, but make we talk truth, realizing your weakness and deciding to fix am no be small thing. Plenty people wey speak good English no get sense pass am, dem just dey package grammar. The guy don make money, don blow, but still humble enough to say I need to go back to school. Maybe he had a poor education background..his primary and secondary education maybe he did not take his studies serious or education serious at those primary and secondary level... that is why he cannot speak English fluently |
