If mctominay was still here the narrative would have been you can never use him to win the likes of Burnley and Leeds or achieve any kind of success but now he's Seria A best player and a league winner. |

I remember when the state of OT was also seen as one of the "problems" of the club and peeps here even referenced Ronaldo's critique of our facilities. Thankfully, £50m has been invested and no more excuses from that area ![]() |

Imagine mentioning Rashford winning a trophy when he didn't even play more than 5 minutes. Garnacho should have gone to Italy, Spain or Germany. We would have been celebrating him too |

All these midfield talks are just distractions. Our main issue remains converting the chances we create. We created much more than Brighton today, controlled the game yet we couldn't score from our numerous opportunities. |

eph12:Are you implying that sacking Amorim was the wrong decision? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 10:45pm On Jan 11 |
adisaaowala:When I saw the news that Amorim had been sacked, I never thought that we will have people here defending him and faulting the board for not sticking with him... |

If Bruno knows what's good for him, he better leaves this club. Age is not on his side anymore |

Leyqute:nitrogen will tell him to work with what he has. ![]() You see all the teams you are competing against always upgrading their squad, nitrogen and his friends want their own manager to turn water to wine. |

adisaaowala:Our average possession is very good but take a look at our xG difference and big chances created. We are massively not taking our chances when dominating.

nitrogen:Shebi na Arteta dey coach Zubimendi for Spain and Rice for England. Rice na average, coming from the finger of a Ugarte and Mainoo fan. I dey 💯 sure say some of these your takes you no fit talk ham outside, them for don break your head. |

spillo1:These same people blamed the 3-4-3 formation and not the players missing simple chances. You are blaming 3-4-3 but want to use the stats line from the same 3-4-3 Make Una no go buy better players |

patrickmuf:No. I already gave up on Amorim long ago. His first sin was not demanding for a good CM. His thinking he could go into the season with the same midfield showed he is still a rookie. He probably thought he had a lot of time to take the team to that level most will be satisfied. Secondly his substitutions were questionable. He struggled to rotate which shows his lack of trust in some players. That tells me he was already under a lot of pressure. But one thing he did right was fight against those players that felt they were too big for the coach. He brought some level of discipline. If we had such discipline before, Greenwood would have been better managed. I just hope we don't relapse back because the next manager is soft. However sacking Amorim is not everything that needs to happen in this transfer window. |

ong this a true 6 and 9 situation some expect a wc coach to overachieve with a mid midfield others expect a club trying to get out of a 15 year funk to get the basics right to me, if you want to be a top 4 team, have a top 4 midfield it is that simple i'll admit that amorim's idiosyncrasies were very grating atrocious game management and stubbornness topping the list but asking him to make do with that midfield for the rest of the season after seeing the immense cost of absences so far counts as deliberate sabotage we had a bench of yoro, malacia, bayindir, lacey, fletcher, mantato, obi and fredericson in a pl game anyone telling you he can't get a decent midfielder until summer after that should be arrested -Lord |

Last January City bought Marmoush who was 2nd highest goalscorer in Budensliga, he hasn't lived up to it, this January they bought Semenyo. No telling the manager no manage whatever he has, they are giving him the necessary tools to dominate and win. Since the time of Mou, we have been complaining of Dalot and Shaw, since then we have appointed Ole, ETH and Amorim, thats almost 8yrs and both of them are still here. Imagine complaining about Dorgu, which replacement do you have Malacia ![]() You want to play the "golden" 4-3-3 and your midfielders are Bruno, Case, Ugarte and Mainoo. 3 will start and just 1 will be on the bench. Incredible squad planning ![]() Make Una no worry, the interim manager and new permanent manager is coming to do magic with the resources on ground. |

patrickmuf:Right now we need quality midfielders and probably a backup striker. Once we actually have quality midfielders it will reduce how many attacks our defense is open to. You can't be parading Case, Ugarte and Mainoo as your CMs in big 2026 and be expecting miracle. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by larride(m): 11:02pm On Jan 11 |
nitrogen:Don't worry, next match you will still swear for Dalot. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 11:08pm On Jan 11 |
eph12:We create enough chances to outscore our opponents. Barcelona conceded 2 today yet won. We need to be more clinical. Today game we should have been two nil up in the first 15mins of that game and Brighton spirit would have been broken. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by spillo1: 11:14pm On Jan 11 |
larride:How is marmosuh different from us buying zirkzee and then buying Sesko in back to back windows and they sold Alvarez for huge sum so they needed a replacement. That ur example makes zero sense. How many strikers/attackers have we bought over the last 3 seasons alone? |
