BascoVanVeli:Yeah.. he made mistakes with his players selection which he corrected later on but it was too late. Randy operates with a double pivots in midfield while Madugu plays a single DM with two CAM.. |

Deltamani:Are we forgetting Zambia? Tosin Demehin made Banda look like a middle aged woman. What are we talking about here? |

Tosin Demehin vs Barbara Banda at the 2025 WAFCON quarters negates this statement @emboldened As bonus, she still went ahead to bag a goal in same game. Deltamani: |

isan:The Okafor I’m seeing will mainly play as a winger for the SuperFalcons. Main reason is because she’s very fast, strong and skillful as well. |

BascoVanVeli:Yes she did well against Banda and one of my favorite game of her all round but she hasn’t faced many of such caliber of Strikers that come at you with Pace, Physicality and that huge physique… |

NFF and Justin Madugu Hope you all have learnt something from the game between the Super Eagles and the Atlas Lions of Morocco. Only the best players should dorn the green white green. Meritocracy over Mediocrity. |

Deltamani:If I beat the final boss, why are u telling me about other people? Which other striker comes with as much pace, physicality and physique as Barbra Banda? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 1:32pm On Jan 15 |
Sarsaparilla524:Only one coach has won a title in Morocco. His name is Justine Madugu. |

BascoVanVeli:Morocco are hosting for the 3rd time in a row. All we want is to win the trophy once again and if possible against Morocco against all odds in the Finals. We all saw how it panned out in the last tournament. Only the best of the best should get called up to the team. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by PDPGuy: 4:53pm On Jan 15 |
Deltamani:Nasty work placing Morocco and Algeria in the same group 🤣 That game would be total war lol. Group D is the group of death. No shaking in our game v Zambia, because they’ll remember the 5-0 shellacking they received last year 😂 |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 6:03pm On Jan 15 |
Sarsaparilla524:This isn’t just a WAFCON tournament but a qualifier for the 2027 World Cup, I hope they call up fit and the capable players to execute it not this slot selling of putting in undeserving Home based players just because they want to include them… If they truly want to include any of the Home based players they should pick the Best. |

Honestly we're wasting away as a MDF she's the best RW in the team Deltamani: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 6:26pm On Jan 15 |
isan:Everyone knows… But will Madugu take her back to her original position? Or is Ajibade that chooses to play in midfield.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:26pm On Jan 15 |
Mission XI is on! We will do it again. Moroccans will cry again. The Greatest Women's football in the African game is coming again. The way this group is, it seems Morocco and Nigeria are not on same path to the final but will need to verify this. Deltamani: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:30pm On Jan 15 |
But wait ooo... I just rechecked our group. Nigeria will be up against 4 of the baddest forwards in African women's football. - Barbara Banda (Zambia) - Rachael Kundanaji (Zambia) - Temwa Chawinga (Malawi) - Tabitha Chawinga (Malawi) Malawi are no powerhouse but their attack is something oo. |

Players plays where the coach ask them to play Deltamani: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 7:32pm On Jan 15 |
TheSuperNerd:And the combination of Temwa Chawinga & Tabitha Chawinga (Malawi 🇲🇼) is more physical and deadly than that of Barbara Banda & Rachael Kundanaji (Zambia 🇿🇲) right now if you consider their club form as well… |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 7:50pm On Jan 15 |
isan:I will place Rasheedat among the midfielders to give room for one more froward, but definitely play on the right wing.. My 7 picks for now 1• Asisat Oshoala 2• Esther Okoronkwo 3• Folashade Ijamilusi 4• Chinwendu Ihezuo 5• Rinsola Babajide 6• Monday Gift 7• Chioma Okafor Standby… *Joy Omewa CF * Uchenna Kanu LW/RW |

If not that this wafcon needs the semifinalists as the ones to qualify to the WWC, I'll just advice the SF leave the tournament early make Morocco ladies shapali carry their trophy abeg ![]() Asisat is right with that tweet. Post-Motsepe era go get as e be. Samuel Eto'o reaction getting fined looks cool but it's not. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 12:06am On Jan 16 |
Sarsaparilla524:We won the last tournament!! Why are u giving our coach advice after a Super Eagles loss? He went to the same Morocco and brought back the trophy, EOD. |

Esther Okoronkwo extends her contract with AFC Toronto till 2027. I guess the anticipated move to a "better club" we all hoped for will have to wait. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 11:14am On Jan 16 |
lovewins:The Canadian League pays well more than the French or even Spanish leagues sef apart from the big clubs in those leagues playing UEFA Competitions.. And I guess the club is also on business mood trying to keep their Star player and also to make money from it if she’s to leave them any of the transfer window before her contract runs out. |

🇳🇬 Been catching up with some of the Nigerian U23 players abroad we ain’t familiar with. My takeaway is Nigeria have a really exciting talent in Chioma Okafor and Florence Onyinyechukwu Okoli. They’re one of the fastest players I’ve seen at this level. Incredibly quick and causes so many problems for defenders. Not the tallest but they makes up for it with their quick feet and speed. They’re still raw. Needs to improve some of their actions when they gets into goal-scoring opportunities. But that pace and their ability to draw defenders to themselves makes them players with special potential. They closes down opponents so well in the opposition’s final third. Wins a lot of balls that way. Excellent in one 🆚 one situations. They Could do more defensively, tracking back to help out in defending. But they have got everything to go really far. Remember their name… Okafor and Okoli Both currently 22yrs and can play all positions upfront but Okoli is mainly a no.9
